  I have shopped at Hudson Hannaford for a long time now. I love the quality of the produce. Today I went in and felt for the first time a very unwelcoming employee. I had a lot of coffee and a long meeting at the fire station this morning and I really had to use the bathroom. . So before I started my shopping I went to the restroom area. An employee had just put the sign up. No big deal! I can hold it. It was the comment he made that got me. It was cold and uncaring. I didn’t expect to go in but I also didn’t expect to hear “Nope, sorry!” In a very surly tone. There is no way I would stop going to this store. I obviously need groceries. I hope he finds a department he enjoys. Engaging with customers is not easy but you have to maintain professionalism. End of story I left and went to Market Basket because that angered me and I felt I had to bring my business elsewhere.

  I have told management on numerous occasions there are two very rude women at deli a younger one and older - I will not mention names . They are very rude - management told me well we’re short staffed . Let’s be serious - everyone is short staffed . The young men at deli are fantastic! I was truly appalled of management response . I live one minute away and go to Londonderry unless it’s emergency! Sad that management is afraid to tell these people to lighten up - you want the business or you don’t - the response given was their answer .

  This is the only Hannaford I’ve shopped at, as we live only a few minutes away but I would never shop at another Hannaford, especially this one. I will go back to shopping at Market Basket even with it being further, as it offers much more variety and fresh, quality produce compared to Hannaford. Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed an extremely concerning health issue in their dairy section. I constantly see spilled and dried milk and after today had to bring this to attention. There was clearly mold growing on the bottom due to the lack of cleaning these areas. The preventative care is clearly lacking. This only makes me wonder that if they are perfectly okay with these unclean conditions clearly visible to their customers, what their conditions look like outside of customer view. I’m not even sure how they’re passing health code inspections.
