  Excellent store with terrific customer service and staff! The stuff on sale can’t be beat on price or quality.

  Having just moved back to a very rural part of New Hampshire, Shaws is the nearest large grocery store close by. It's not huge and the prices are fairly expensive compared to other places, but it's the only show in town. Their veggies are pretty good and they do have a surprising variety of vegetarian and vegan food options. In fact, they have my preferred brand of non-dairy cheese products Violife. Their employees are very nice and today I needed a prescription filled. My doctor in town sent it over yesterday and I added the pharmacy to my Shaws app. I ended up having to call because it was taking longer than I thought it would, but they were super helpful. In fact, they answered the phone right away! The script was ready in an hour and the app let me know. All you have to do when shopping there is put your phone number in, after you have joined, and you will get discounts etc. There's no little cards to carry around. They have easy self checkout that I figured out by myself the first time through, the parking lot always has plenty of parking too. The biggest draw back are the prices. But if you need something, it's not a terrible option.

  The best thing i can say about this store is its clean. It is ridiculous to allow people to use the self scan isle when they have more than 10 items, but when you don't know how to schedule cashiers to accommodate your traffic flow, we'll someone has to pay and it's the customer on lunch or trying to get home for dinner after work. Today Saturday afternoon I headed to the deli to pick up some lunch meat. After the woman behind the counter finished ignoring me while talking to a fellow coworker she informed me she couldn't help me because their system was down. So I attempted to go to the prepared meat already bagged but the only option there was ham, just ham. That makes sense? Good management? This is the only food store in hillsboro and to inconvenience your customers is cruel and poor management. By the way I returned to the deli counter later in the day to find the reason the system was down was they ran a price change update in the middle of a Saturday afternoon. I know this because the meet I was purchasing had a sale tag of 5.99 paper lb. Early in the day and when I went back it had a sale price of 7.99 per lb., really went up 2.oo per lb. In the same afternoon. This is Shaws way of serving the Hillsboro community.

  I shop here weekly , I live in town and Saturday I checked out and the young man who was running the register had the dirtiest fingernails I have ever seen! This turned my stomach green knowing he handled all my groceries with those dirty hands ! I will be addressing this issue in person ! It is unacceptable as a customer to be subjected to filth . Especially in the food industry !

  Friendly people. Seems like selection is updated and that they are trying to be competitive with pricing. Cons: Poor quality control. Produce is constantly hit or miss. Flowers are the same. Looking through the roses today all I could do is shake my head at the cost. Those roses looked horrible. While I enjoy the convenience of doing a pickup order, it's almost the same as ordering a coffee from dunks - inconsistent. Sometimes to get someone competent and other times you get someone who throws in disgusting produce. Overall this location doesn't have much competition up here so I can't exactly complain. When I do shop here, my interactions are always pleasant.
