WORST McDonald's in a 35 mi radius!! Nasty employee attitudes, old rotten food tastes, and they constantly SKIP your MCDonald's code now. Reported with proof to corporate along with their large large staff arguing about it. I think they ate too much. Abysmal treatment of animals too for fast food! Dirty dirty company.
Came through not once, not twice, but three times to have my order messed up 3/3. I ordered 2 double cheeseburgers with only ketchup, a medium fry and a mcchicken. I sat in their line for about an hour 15 in total because they were slammed. The first time, I only got half of a medium fry and a singular double cheeseburger. The second time, I got my medium fry, and a mcchicken that was how i ordered it, and 2 double cheeseburgers made regular despite the ticket saying only ketchup. The third time, I received 2 double cheeseburgers with no pickle. I’ve since given up on trying to have my order corrected and I don’t plan on returning. They had 3 chances to correct my order and they messed all of them up.
Very disappointed
So, I have been holding off on doing this review after relocating to the area 4.5 months ago because I wanted to make sure that what I wrote was not a one off experience!
Well, it is absolutely crazy good how CONSISTENT this MacDonald’s is.
I have visited this MacDonald’s about once a week over the past four months after I came for my first visit.
I digress, ~now I stopped being a regular MacDonald’s customer years ago. Originally for personal reasons, but once in a while I just wanted to taste “The Familiar” as a Warm Fuzzie Foodie Memory Entrenched in my soul…And sadly, 99% of the time, I left disappointed with poor food quality, cold food, soggy fries, or worse, fries that tasted of old oil and left the dreaded coating in my mouth after swallowing. Sometimes, I would take the food back and ask for fresh, then I started to let the order taker know I was willing to wait for the next drop of fries, or ask for a fresh drop of a fish filet, etc…But even doing that did not guarantee that the oil was not old…
Anyways, cross country moves are hard on the soul when leaving people you dearly love behind on that other coast, and yah, I do find comfort in Childhood Food Memories. And MacDonald’s will always fit that groove for me.
So I came here sometime at the end of February, and I literally gave thanks to God that the Food I ordered was absolutely PERFECT. Fresh bun, neatly placed condiments on my hot burgers and piping hot fries with salt evenly distributed! I was actually stunned. It took me back to my childhood days where every meal was like this at our neighborhood MacDonald’s back in the Chicago area. That MacDonald’s was owned by a Family that held every one of their employees to exact holding times for everything made there AND they extruded the oil fryers religiously!
(I came to know this because that Macdonald’s was my first job I ever had, and they hired me as a 13 yr old for 1.60 per hour! )
I honestly thought this was a one off experience here at this Dover Store because after stopping at MacDonald’s (and Starbucks) all along the 3500 mile drive to get here, not even one MacDonald’s lived up to the Brand Standards. Not one.
Anyways, the Lure was set for me to come back here to this Dover Store…And I came here again, and again, and again, waiting for the proverbial shoe to drop! I came at lunchtime, I came at mid afternoon, I came at dinner time, ~and never once have I been disappointed with the Food quality. Not even once were the condiments on my fish sandwich or burger messy and smeared on, with pickles merely hanging on by a thread…~And the Fries hot, fresh and salted every single time…
The only mishap that I can share after four months is when their self serve soda bar was not working properly and I got bad Coke! ~But they fixed that issue exactly as I think best: they got rid of the self service drink area. You can get refills at the counter and a refill for the road if need be! But I myself find these self service soda areas messy (germ laden even!), with a lot of waste happening, even having observed people who came off the street with their saved Macdonald’s drink cup to snag another drink on the house!
So, if you like Macdonald’s at all, this is your Central Ave Dover NH Homie Burger and Fries Store to the Max!
It is evident that someone really takes pride in offering well prepared fast food and giving their customers the Best Brand Experience Possible! The associates that run the food to cars and tables are all really great, always courteous and cheerful! This Macdonald is also always VERY clean and spacious! They have many mobile order/drive through parking spaces for people on the go, a set of designated parking spaces on one side of the store and a set on the other side!
I commend the owners and managers who keep the Brand Standards and train their associates thoroughly, and hold them accountable to do everything with excellence!
I Seriously think this is a one of a kind MacDonald’s!
Great Job, Everyone! Thank for caring, and treating all of us as valued customers!

Ordered two orders on the mobile app. Waited in the drive thru. Got one order w a McFlurry after waiting in spot 1 for 10 mins. Went back through the drive thru to retrieve my other order after seeing 1 was missing. Waited another 20 mins. The McFlurry melted in my cup holder. The first window told me to have them make another McFlurry. Second window Blonde manager bantered w us back and forth about wanting to throw the McFlurry away, or sarcastically asking us if we wanted to keep it. So ridiculous and childish. The nuggets were like styrofoam. The fries were stale, cold and hollow in the center. Ugh. Just awful. You can get a decent meal for the same price somewhere else.
Such a confusing experience. Ordered a mobile order, went to the drive thru to pick up. Waited 5-10 min in line then told the speaker my code "yep, come on down". Pulled up to the first window - "mobile order for Johanna? You're all set".
Great.
Sit in the line for another 10 min or so. Get up to the pick up window and they hand me a bag, but no happy meal. So I'm like, happy meal? And the girl is like "aren't you the 20pc nugget?" And I'm like no, I had the happy meal and mcdouble meal deal.
She takes the bag back, leaves, comes back, hands me a happy meal and a bag but it's again not my order. I hand it back telling her I ordered happy meal and mcdouble meal deal with my mobile order up on my phone to show her.
Instead she starts.. taking my order all over again?? Asking what sauce i want and what drink with the happy meal.
Alright?? Then an older woman who i think was a manager came and they talked and now i guess wanted to charge me for this new order?
Meanwhile I'm holding my phone up like will someone just please look at the confirmation number or something?! Then another woman who was pregnant came by and was like "don't bother charging her, just let it go".
Let WHAT go?! I already paid and would just like my mobile order, please?? However no one is talking TO ME they are just talking ABOUT ME.
Then they say "pull into that spot and we'll have your order out". Ok.... so I go, wait another 10 minutes (we're at 40min now, if you're counting) and someone brings out bags. IT'S NOT MY ORDER, AGAIN.
At this point I gave up. A chicken nugget happy meal and a mcdouble meal deal for my kids were not just in the cards tonight.
Luckily Wendy's is across the street. And their Frosty machine is never broken 💪
I wish I knew what happened, like how do you lose a whole order lol. If you gave it away accidently just tell me! I'll gladly wait for you to make it again. This whole episode was just bizarre and I felt gaslit.
