  Closing 5 minutes early thanks for that now I have no food for work. Worst thing ever by law if ur open till 10 dont lock the doors. Will be reported to the state

  I've been a Hannaford shopper since 2007, but shop there less and less lately. The new AI that's been loaded onto the self scans recently constantly flags me (incorrectly) when I'm scanning my groceries, and then I have to wait for the overworked customer service staff to come clear the screen so I can finish my purchase. I'm left feeling like a criminal for trying to pay for my groceries, and frankly, given the number of false positives I've seen other people also encounter, I have to wonder whether Hannaford is even getting to break even with the cost of the rollout. Are they actually catching any theft? I've never once seen the system accurately flag anyone when I've been in there. It's always been a false positive, causing frustration at the self scans. In my opinion, this was a botched roll out of an underdeveloped technology that some executive got duped into thinking was a good idea because it's "AI". Every day, I ask myself why I bother shopping there when Aldi is often much cheaper and I don't have to deal with the annoyance.

  Dover Fields is a Little Gem of a supermarket! It is on the smaller size so does not have the SKU breadth of the Central Ave Dover store, but it makes up for this by the excellent, warm staff, their gold standard customer service and the best produce distributor delivery in the area in my opinion. At least their produce has some flavor! You will not find better avocados anywhere at a consistently remarkable low price! Every department, bakery, deli, meat is top notch. You can also find a great selection of organic foods in produce, meats and grocery! The shopping experience here is never harried; there is a calmness to the store which I so appreciate! They also have an amazing floral and plants dept! Parking and travel to this store is very convenient! They must have an excellent manager who trains his people well and who models excellence and care so that customers feel valued! Lastly, I so VERY much appreciate that the associates at Dover Fields Hannaford know their store and can give accurate direction for finding things! This has been a constant frustration at other food stores I have shopped at in the area! ~So great job everyone; you are sincerely appreciated !!

  Never using self checkout here ever again. This is my go-to grocer. I spend thousands here throughout every year on food. The new AI algorithm running the self checkout system is so flawed you have to go at a snail speed for it to work correctly. God forbid it needs "assistance" just for an employee to come over and look at a camera recording most likely to see if anything was stolen. I don't need to steal anything thanks. You'll see me in the line.

  I love this location because the college kids that work there are hilarious and fun. And it does seem to have better choices for niche health food items, i.e. gluten free, organic, wild caught, pasture raised etc..
