I expect nothing to be fixed based off of this, however, it is an experience that needs to be noted to McDonalds corporate based off the multiple reviews Ive seen on this same issue.
I have gone to this location for three years as I live near by, but always via drive thru. This morning, I had to use the restroom, so rather my normal routine I decided to go in. Without giving too many details, my need for the restroom was urgent. The bathroom was locked, so I go to the counter and asked politely if I could use the restroom. The lady pointed at a sign behind her and said buy something. I advised her it was urgent I promised I would make a purchase after I used the restroom. The workers response was everybody says that, go on.
I want to be clear, as I live in the area, I understand the population that this restaurant specifically handles that may be different than many McDonalds locations prompting the lock of the bathroom. However; this poses many problems that Id like to review below.
1) Ive given this McDonalds well over hundreds of dollars over the past three years. I shouldnt have to prove my loyalty to use your restroom once.
2) this was an emergent situation, and the employee quite frankly was in a race between time of letting me into the restroom or having a biohazard situation on the companys hands.
3) as a single female, in the future, this would give me two options. Buy my meal before using the restroom and leaving it on a table to be tampered or stolen while taking care of personal business. Or bring my meal into a public restroom which is quite frankly disgusting and unsanitary.
Using the restroom is a human right, and if resources are not provided this is going to create biohazard issues across our community, near your location, and this morning, it was close to being in your lobby. Quite frankly, I will not return to this location indoors or drive thru. Thank you.
