Very rude older guy snatched the peanuts away from me and said “They are for paying customers only and there’s a sign” I saw no sign. Extremely rude and disrespectful attitude will not be coming back to this restaurant ever. I’ve watched them let others take some and other dashers snack on some while waiting. A simple explanation would’ve been nicer than just snatching them and being so rude along being treated like a 3 year old. Other workers were friendly, we have also snacked on the peanuts before after we were told we could. Was gonna come back and bye some food went to another restaurant and got food.

Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
