I placed a pickup order this morning and arrived at 6:45 to see that all of the lights were off and an employee moving about inside. I confirmed that they were indeed open (per the hours listed on the door and website) and waited for a few moments only to be completely ignored.
- HHHollySep 19, 20261.0THIEVES - I'd give this place zero stars if I could. A couple of weeks ago, I placed an order in the app for a frozen coffee and some hashbrowns. I paid with my debit card, through the app. When I pulled up to the ordering box I was told that they cannot make the frozen coffee because the machine itself is frozen. Ok, fine. I asked for a refund. They pushed and pushed for me to select something else. I finally told them, "I ordered what I enjoy, since you cannot make that I want my money back". I pulled up to the ordering window for the refund. The man initially tried to scan my rewards app number for the refund... that's not how a debit card payment works. Then he asks for the card I paid for it with. I hand it to him. He "processes" the refund. I am so glad that I looked at my phone before fully leaving the property because I was shorted almost a dollar on my refund. I parked, went inside and showed him my charges and my Dunkin account. The man wanders around throwing his hands up for a second and acting confused before handing me a random, wrinkled $1 bill that was just lying on the counter. BUT WAIT! I then attempted to report them to corporate. Because theft is theft. I left with no product and did not receive a 'proper' refund until they were confronted. Corporate takes about a week to reply to my email and I can instantly tell it is an AI answering program. I submitted the exact address for this location, screenshots of the charge and inaccurate refund, as well as a screenshot of my order and final payment in the Dunkin app. ALL IN MY INITIAL EMAIL. These screenshots also included the store number. I went back and forth with this AI answering system for two days before I gave up. It just continued to ask me numerous questions that had already been answered. Dunkin needs to: A) ...the most obvious one here... DON'T TRY TO STEAL FROM CUSTOMERS, no matter how small the amount is. Theft is theft. B) mark items that are unable to be made as UNAVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE! Other apps in this industry already do this. Dunkin chooses not to so they can apparently allow their employees an opportunity to skim money. Absolutely abysmal experience. Disgusting customer care. This place was significantly better about 3 years ago. DO NOT TRUST DUNKIN DONUTS WITH YOUR MONEY!!!!
