- CEChristopher Ellis5 days ago3.0The Root Burger I ordered this evening was a mess. It was simultaneously burnt and undercooked. Pretty gross. I couldn't get through it, which really sucked because I was pretty hungry. My meal mostly consisted my side of fries (which were decent fries) and picking at my kids' mac and cheese (which was not great... but then, most restaurants gave terrible kids Mac & cheese, so I won't hold *that* against them). The Root Burger really set my night on a bad trajectory though. I just drove 4 hours, I was tired and hungry. The beer menu was mediocre at best. Vegetarian choices were slim. The Root Burger was clearly something that a non-vegetarian would think a vegetarian would like, and whoever was working in the kitchen clearly did not know how to properly cook it, and whoever was running expo apparently thought it looked acceptable enough to send out. But yuck. Just yuck. Really frustrating. Our server was as ok. I might even have given service 5 stars early on, but after coming to terms with the fact that I couldn't force down the Root Burger, he didn't swing back to the table in a timely enough manner to replace it or order another beer to keep my caloric intake up enough to prevent the low blood sugar annoyance spiral. The food was a definite 1 star. The service was ok and the vibe was alright, so you have lucked out and gotten yourself 3 stars.

Big portion of meat. Spatzele, caramelized mushrooms and snap peas all mixed together, would prefer them separate. A little salty. Service was excellent. Mac and cheese bites appetizer was excellent. Good place for a beer, sports on TV and a bite. Just not fine dining

- LLLaurieAug 23, 20265.0How haven’t I reviewed this wonderful spot before! We keep coming back. Emma was our rock-star server today which was Sunday and happy hour all day. I asked a question about the dill potato salad but didn’t have it as a side. She brought me a cute little taste to satisfy my curiosity. My husband loves the chicken with tomato and Brussels. I’ve had the yummy Cuban as well as the chipotle chicken Philly. The service and atmosphere are top-notch! Free parking on Sundays too! If you love Brussels Sprouts they are cooked to perfection!
