Fazoli's is one of those restaurants where you wonder about the theme they carry and ask yourself, "An American-Italian fast-food restaurant? That can't be good - that'll never work!" Well, after paying a visit to this establishment, I'm pleased to say that my recent visit easily disproves that notion to whomever may hold it!
On June 3rd, I and a friend paid a visit to eat dinner, and we both decided to choose the breaded chicken alfredo plates along with two breadsticks and a couple of drinks. Unlike my friend, however, I went for the famous Cheesecake Factory cheesecake topped with juicy strawberries, out of a want to see how Fazoli's did with their desserts. Unlike other fast-food restaurants, the staff brings your meals out to you at your booth and they're placed on fancy-looking dinner plates instead of standard, bland, fast-food plates. The silverware is provided next to the soda machines, and the seasonings are located on the tables.
Before I get to the food, I will say that the exterior and interior design of the place looks good. It give off a quiet and confident vibe that makes me want to go chill and eat here rather than go through the drive-thru. The interior, in particular, carries warm reds and browns, and features comfortable chairs and benches, overhead glass pendant lights, and two dividing walls. It's classic-looking, but not dated enough to where you want to say, "Man, this place looks ancient!"
Now, as for the food and service, I was left both impressed, but still wanting more. The fettuccine alfredo cuisine was properly cooked with enough sauce, but I think some more chicken could've been added in to provide more protein and balance out the large amount of pasta. I also believe that the man who served us wasn't particularly polite, but not to the point where I would say that he was downright rude. He just seemed like he lacked kindness or enthusiasm. I have zero complaints for the breadsticks; they were possibly the best ones I've ever tasted in a LONG time! Talk about "baked fresh" - WOW!
Finally, we have the cheesecake. Unlike our main courses, the cheesecake came inside a plastic container instead of a ceramic plate, which didn't carry the same "casual-fine" dining feeling that I got when our main meals were delivered. Despite that, the cheesecake was amazing to eat! Every bite was soft, smooth, and full of that world-renowned rich, creamy, vanilla-cream cheese-like flavor. For the cost, the cheesecakes served by Fazoli's are at a fraction of the cost compared to what you can get at the Cheesecake Factory, so if you desire a taste of their goods, but are on a tight budget, Fazoli's would serve as a clever way to save some money and experience one of the best cheesecakes in town.
In summary, Fazoli's is an underrated franchise that delivers high-quality food and uncommon, but appealing casual fine-dining experience at a very affordable price. If you decide to go there without coupons, expect yourself to pay $40+ for two, but if you do have some, you can bring the price down to about $30. I look forward to coming back here to try out more of their options!
I genuinely walked into Fazoli’s expecting a quick meal… and somehow left with a spiritual awakening. The food was so unbelievably good that I’m convinced the chefs are operating with ancient Italian secrets passed down through generations. The breadsticks? Unreal. I would fight a medieval knight for one more basket. The pasta was so fresh and flavorful I almost stood up and applauded in the middle of the restaurant.
But the REAL reason this location deserves every award imaginable is Meghan.
Meghan didn’t just provide customer service — she delivered a once-in-a-lifetime hospitality experience that should honestly be studied by restaurants worldwide. From the second we walked in, she treated us like honored guests at a five-star resort. Friendly, funny, insanely helpful, and somehow managing to keep everything running perfectly while making every customer feel important. I’ve seen less professionalism from Fortune 500 executives.
She deserves a raise, a promotion, ownership of the franchise, and possibly a national holiday in her honor.
I came for pasta and left questioning whether any other restaurant can ever compare again. Fazoli’s has officially ruined all other Italian food for me because the bar is now in another galaxy.
If you’re thinking about eating here — do it immediately. If Meghan is working, consider yourself blessed.
