  20 mins for some nuggets and fries is insane. Fast food ain't fast anymore. Took 20 minutes for them to screw up my order.

  I’ve stopped at plenty of fast-food locations along the highway, but my recent visit to the Valley City McDonald’s was genuinely disheartening. The food was standard fare, but the atmosphere inside was tense and deeply uncomfortable. Within minutes of walking in, it became clear that the primary issue lies with the leadership—or lack thereof. During the lunch rush, a manager chose to loudly reprimand and belittle a young employee right in front of the counter and waiting customers. Instead of stepping in to coach, support, or keep operations moving smoothly under pressure, the management openly degraded a staff member who was visibly trying their best to handle a stressful shift. It created an intensely hostile environment for the crew and made everyone in the lobby feel uneasy. A business is only as strong as its leadership, and watching a manager publicly tear down an employee is unacceptable. No one deserves to go to work and be treated that way, especially by the person responsible for guiding them. I hope corporate steps in to provide some actual leadership training at this location, because right now, management is toxic and it’s ruining the experience for everyone.
