- MNMly Ncrab4 days ago1.0⭐ Very Disappointing Customer Service at Food Lion in Youngsville I had a very disappointing experience at the Food Lion in Youngsville October 19th . A detergent was advertised for $12.29 with a discount bringing the price to $6.39, but at checkout, it rang up at $9.99. When I asked an associate to correct the price, he said he couldn't do it but would check with his manager. After waiting 5–7 minutes, the evening manager, Takia Johnson, arrived. After I explained the price discrepancy, she told me the system was down and she couldn't do anything because her manager had instructed employees not to override transactions. I explained that this was unacceptable customer service and that I needed the detergent to wash my clothes. Her response was, “Oh well, that is customer service.” I was shocked by this dismissive and unprofessional attitude, especially from a manager. I understand that technical issues happen, but customers deserve respect and reasonable solutions when advertised prices do not match checkout prices. Food Lion needs to take customer service seriously and ensure that managers know how to handle customer complaints professionally. This experience left me feeling disrespected and disappointed. I hope management addresses this incident and improves how customers are treated at this location.
