  By far one of the nastiest stores I've been in. From spills that have either been unnoticed or ignored for weeks etc. drink boxes stuck to the shelves where it appears they just stocked items on top of clearly visible filth for multiple weeks because two weeks ago when I came here this same filthy spill was there 😳🙄 same thing with the gallon jugs of grape, lemonade, and orange drink near the bathroom on shelves to left before you get to the bathrooms. Have literally had the same disgusting dirt and dust there that has been there for over a month... 🤢🤮 That's not all the entire store is like that... when I told employee who I'm guessing is a manager named Ethan a red head guy he said he would have someone get it I then overheard him telling this other guy also a manger (younger guy looks Hawaiian I asked the young lady at self checkout if he was a manager and she said yeah) about the dirt etc. he kept saying something about a QA person... I also noticed that management will walk by clearly visible trash and other dirty stuff instead of just taking 5 minutes to get the trash or clean up messes... The it's not my job mentality is rampant at this location. Even witnessed an employee reprimanded for stopping and cleaning up something that was clearly left for weeks because it was dirty over a month ago when I stopped to get milk on my way home..There's a lot of gossiping going on too which is really unprofessional for management to be doing on the floor where customers like me can hear it. I feel for the employees that have to work in such a volatile work environment where management will be belittling of their underlings.... If I'm being honest this food Lion is literally just a few steps away from being as bad as a dollar general lol... Milk stocked out of date so clearly no one is rotating stock for July dated milk to be behind Aug dates is just an example of the hundreds of products that aren't rotated they just stocked new in front of old.... I quite literally could go on and on but it's clear that management is more concerned about gossip and flirting with young girls than they're about the condition of the store or what their it's not my job mentality makes this store look like. It's why I only shop here if I have too and happen to be going by on my way home from work. Because here in Virginia the Food Lions I shop at employees take pride in their stores and are team players that don't pass the buck if they see something needs attention they take care of it regardless of if it's their job or not, and they appreciate each other instead of gossiping and acting like they are still in middle school.... If you shop at yanceyville check your dates and sanitize EVERYTHING because this store is nasty

  I wish they had the Canada Dry sugar-free cranberry ginger ale at all locations. I will say the Food Lion brand diet ginger ale is very refreshing. I love the Food Lion brand of rainbow sherbert. It is better than any name brand. I am disappointed with the Food Lion brand of low-fat cottage cheese. It has bioengineered ingredients. It was my favorite and I now don't purchase it anymore.
