The employees at Dutch Bros on Stratford Road in Winston-Salem are always friendly, upbeat, and provide outstanding customer service. My concern isn’t with the staff—it’s with their working conditions.
Today it was 91°F with a heat index around 110°F, and employees were taking orders outside without shade or an industrial fan. I understand they rotate every 30 minutes to an hour, but extreme heat is still dangerous.
If employees are expected to work outside, I hope Dutch Bros provides better protection, such as umbrellas, cooling fans, cold water, and other heat-relief measures. These amazing employees are the reason customers keep coming back, and they deserve to be cared for just as well as they care for us.

I have visited several times here before having to post this review in hopes that it would get better but It hasn’t. My hope is for this review to be more helpful than anything for the company and staff at this location on “Stratford”.
The Stratford location could benefit with providing a card or something to help the employees know what to put in the drinks/coffee that is visible while they are making these drinks. Several times I have come to this location and they have not fixed the drink correctly. I always get the “golden eagle” with oat milk and extra sweetener. They have forgot the caramel drizzle several times and they have forgot the extra sweetener several times.
I do appreciate that they will make it right for you, but this has been a consistent problem and it really needs attention. I didn’t want to give it a 1 star because the customer service to fix it is has been met with kindness and willingness to make it right… BUT the employees need more training on how to make these drinks the right way or you’re going to continue to get complaints at the “Stratford location” in Winston-Salem.
I have been to the University location in Winston Salem and they got it right the 1st time. Maybe send your employees over there to train before coming to work at the Stratford location but you need to train your employees more on making these drinks correctly.

My sister had her baby this past weekend and wanted a coffee treat, brother in law brought back dutch bros for us. We ordered a mocha, mocha frappe, cocomo, and two chocolate shakes. Latte/frappe’s were BITTER. None of us drank more than a few sips. Chocolate shakes were not frozen even a little bit, was more like thick chocolate milk. I’ve heard good things about Dutch Bros and was excited to try it. Very disappointing!

As decade-long Dutch Bros fans who have visited locations coast-to-coast, we were disappointed today by the dull vibe at this location. My daughter ordered her usual Trifecta for her birthday, but it tasted completely wrong and was a major letdown (though our second drink was fine).The staff wasn't rude, but they lacked the signature Dutch Bros energy and completely ignored her birthday reward. On the positive side, the drive-thru was organized and well-signed, but the service standards here definitely need a refresher from corporate.

Went to this Dutch Bros around 5:10 PM and had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. We were the only people at the window and made it very obvious that we were waiting to place an order. We sat there for about 20 minutes without a single employee acknowledging us or even saying, “We’ll be right with you.” After another 5 minutes, someone finally took our order.
The employee at the window, who I believe was named Marilyn, was extremely rude and acted like we were an inconvenience for simply trying to order. To make matters worse, it then took another 30 minutes just to receive our drinks.
Waiting nearly an hour for drinks when the store wasn’t busy is completely unacceptable. The lack of communication, poor attitude, and overall customer service were beyond disappointing. Thankfully, the Clemmons location is opening soon because after this experience, I have absolutely no intention of returning to this location.

How do I earn points?
It’s easy! Collect 3 points for each dollar you spend at a shop, and there’s no limit to how many you can earn!
Can I still get points if I forgot my phone?
We hate when that happens! If you ever forget your phone, just give your broista your phone number, and you’ll earn the points. Unfortunately, we won't be able to issue points for past purchases unless you snag a receipt and email it to us.
Can I customize my drink?
Yes, our broistas are always happy to make any drink the way you’d like!
Can I place my drink order over the phone?
We aren’t able to take drink orders over the phone, but we’re excited to serve you! Don’t let our long lines fool you - we'll get your favorite drink to you as quickly as possible!
