  We ordered our bbq pork plate & ribs to go! Sat outside on a picnic table under a beautiful oak tree & enjoyed our meal with our dogs! The couple who helped us was very helpful & brought our food outside for us & we highly recommend their delicious food!! Peach cobbler was yummy!!

  Found this place on TikTok, so we decided to give it a try. The pulled pork, beans, brisket, and homemade lemonade were really good! The homemade BBQ sauce was also good. However, the ribs didn’t really have much flavor/season to them. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, but I will say this place is PRICEY. For two people, we spent $100. Someone on TikTok had mentioned that it was expensive, but honestly, we didn’t think it would be this pricey. Overall, we enjoyed some of the food, but because of the prices, we probably won’t be back.

  My husband and I wanted to try this restaurant because we had heard wonderful things about it. We drove from Leland all the way to Porter’s Neck and it was worth the drive! The food was absolutely amazing and delicious! It was like being at your grandma‘s house eating. The staff were extremely courteous and friendly. The music they were playing was great music..old-school soul music we listened to as young adults. We would highly recommend anyone going here for some great food and atmosphere. My husband and I will definitely go back!

  This place is a MUST TRY and then a come again and again and again place. We are driving through to the beach and decided to try after seeing the ratings and I am SO glad we did! From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted with a warm welcome and amazing customer service! After hearing about the menu and taking a quick look we ordered the pulled pork sandwich that came with fries and hush puppies as well as a small plate of brisket with Mac and cheese and an extra side of honey butter cornbread. The wait time was minimal and the food was SPECTACULAR. So much flavor. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring the Mac and cheese to my own family’s Thanksgiving! The brisket was so moist and the pork sandwich was packed with flavor! The inside is just as welcoming an environment as the owners and everyone within it make you feel. The bathroom was cute and extremely clean. I literally just starred this place on my Apple Maps so I remember to come back when we come through again! I am literally sitting in my car writing this review immediately after leaving MeMa’s. Thank you for a great dinner, guys!

  Third time's a charm!! I've been to North Carolina three times over the last two years. And all three times my daughter and son-in-law wanted me to try out Me Ma's, but every time we pulled up in front of the distinctive building, we were dismayed to see absolutely no cars in the parking lot. And a note on the door saying things like, catering at a local park, or something like that. So if I were you I would check their Facebook feed before driving over... But please note, that once you can actually get your body in the front door - the food and service inside are absolutely stupendous! I had catfish, potato salad, coleslaw and hush puppies - and they were absolutely amazing. ( My daughter and son-in-law said the same about their shrimp and grouper! ) And the very nice lady at the register was amazed that I had never tried their banana pudding. ( I told her the last time I had it was probably 40 or 50 years ago when I was a little kid?? ) So she brought me a spoonful of it and I decided on the spot to get some.. Of course it was a massive amount (so it would totally be enough for two people) and therefore I could barely eat much more than three or four bites after all of my other Food... But, suffice it to say - it was well worth the wait!! Great job!! :) Liz
