  Small store, crowded, and the workers didn't even seem to want to move over and let me shop in meat department or dairy. There was a large Pepsi pallet parked in the middle of an aisle making it even harder to get down the aisle.

  Im in hopes that this review reaches the GM or whoever is in charge. I am a regular customer who utilizes the to-go option every week, sometimes we may skip a week, but generally we are spending 200$ at this store three to four times a month. So I would hope that our business is appreciated. The shoppers always do a wonderful job shopping for our groceries, picking produce/meat, and choosing substitutions. I am also satisfied with pricing here at this store. Its the actual pickup process where I have a serious problem and frustration. And I apologize in advance to the young woman I was complaining to who brought out my groceries today, i was not trying to be rude to her, I was more so trying to be utterly honest. The pickup at this store is so frustrating! Expect to sit in the parking lot anywhere from 30-50 min waiting for them to bring out your groceries. Which has been going on for majority of the time I've been using food lion to- go at this location for over a year- having to wait 30+ minutes more often than them bringing it out in a timely manner. I've never complained, but today whenever I was sitting there for 30 minutes already and they brought out the order of the person who arrived AFTER me, and waited for probably 10-15 min max, yes I was furious. I asked the worker if they were understaffed and she said no , that the notification for my order didnt go through but the other person's did, and so they didnt even know I was there. Can any one tell me WHY this keeps happening to me when I arrive for pickup? Because I've been told this exact thing by the staff before, that my notification didnt go through on their side. So this is why im posting this review, i dont know if it's a problem with food lions system or what, but if they keep not getting notified that im there, there needs to be something done to fix this whether it's talking with the corporation about their system or what, i dont know the answer but im hoping that the person in charge does. I will be calling up there from now in every time that I check in, BUT half the time no one answers the phone. I've gone in to get my to go order multiple times in the past because I get sick of sitting in the car waiting for more than 30 min, but honestly considering that I PAY for this service I dont feel like I should have to do that. I know that the charge is only 2$ , but even if it was free (like pretty much every other grocery store), this is still a service that yall are offering for the customer! So how come for over a year now, yall consistently cannot get it right? For someone who is a loyal customer??? Id say about 30% of the time they bring it out in 20 minutes or under, which is a reasonable time to have to wait. But the other 70% of the time , im sitting there waiting for over 30 min trying to decide if I have to go inside the store or not. Its honestly ridiculous, if you're going to offer the service please figure out how to get it right. I know that all of the workers up there are working hard and im really not trying to be rude to them or dismiss the fact that they're working hard. To the manager please, investigate this and figure out what needs to be done to make the to-go service function better. I write this for awareness to the manager in case they dont even know that their team is truly doing poorly in this area.
