This has to be the absolute slowest Taco Bell on Earth, and if they have them on other planets, there too.
I've eaten here multiple times because we spend the majority of the summer and fall near by and it's always been slow, so I really don't expect speedy service here. But today was simply outrageous. There were 6 or 8 cars ahead of me when I pulled in, and since it was too hot to leave my elderly dog in the car without AC to go inside, I just got in line assuming from past experience it would be a good 25-30 minutes before I got my food. Nope. 52 minutes. I know this because a friend called about the time I got in line, and I sent her a text when I got my food saying I finally got it. And when I got the Mexican pizza I ordered, it was barely luke warm - most of the cheese on top wasn't even melted. I could have literally driven to Sylva 15 minutes away, got the food, and driven back faster. I understand this is a tourist town and it's a holiday weekend, but come on Taco Bell. Do better. A busy sit down restaurant in the casino got our food for a party of 8 out to us in less than half that amount of time when we went out to eat dinner with visiting family on Friday evening, and none of the other fast food restaurants in the village we go to are, nor have ever been, as slow as this one always is on a random Tuesday in the off season. I would have complained about the cold food, but like I said, it was too hot to leave the dog in the car, and I didn't want to hold up the huge line behind me at the drive-thru because they had all been waiting forever also. Other than being cold, it was fixed the way I asked, so I just took it back home and warmed it.
I don't know if the problem is poor management, lack of employee training, or if they are terminally shorthanded (although it always looks like there are as many employees there as any other Taco Bell I've been to), but they definitely need to try to do better instead of getting progressively worse.
