Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Everything was just "okay," not really sure what all the hype is about. Burger was kind of dry, fries were soggy, and pretty expensive for what you get. Eating area is really small too, so you're eating really close to other people.

Bland cold burger with bacon halfway cooked instead of crispy.
Barely any chocolate in the chocolate shake.
Fries bland and felt like I was chewing on cardboard.
The drink was the best part, Orange soda that isn’t even up to par for a new location. Yikes for the money I just spent I could’ve went to BK and had it my way. Never again

One of the driest burgers I have had in a long time. The long lines will surely dissipate sooner than later once everyone realizes the lackluster experience provided here. My girlfriend couldn't even finish her burger because it was so bland and overcooked. The staff is also quite incompetent. I received two sprites at the window, when I had actually ordered a sprite and a coke. I mentioned this, and the young worker says " well your receipt here shows you ordered two sprites." Why try to fight me on what I'm literally telling you I ordered? Clearly the person taking the order previously, got my order wrong. There is no sense of taking accountability for making mistakes. Absolutely terrible experience. Please save your time and go to the nearby Char Grill if you want a burger. Night and day difference in taste, and no line!

I know its called Whataburger but the breakfast is the best part! Just came through the drive thru and that Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit is delicious! Kudos to the staff also for being friendly and actually speaking out loud to customers. Everywhere you go now ppl are rude, don't speak, or act like they can't even stand you....but not here. Great Job! I haven't had Chic Fil A breakfast since Whataburger has opened!

John is the coolest effective director an eatery can have. After clarifying a review which nearly deterred me from trying the first Whataburger I've seen on the East Coast since over a decade ago in Texas, my experience couldn't be any better. Polite staff such as John's co-manager who I forgot to identify, and Ashlyn who accommodated my order, despite some rude customers prior to my encounter. I only eat fast food once a year (Chick-fil-A), so exceptional Wake Forest has been. Try the banana milkshake while it lasts...
