  Very disappointed in those that are responsible for pickup orders. I am unaware if it is a lack of concern, accountability or just plane laziness. My wife frequently orders online and she has recently been receiving messages from those responsible for grabbing items for the order. These individuals thought it would be wise to close the chat log whenever she was responding to questions about substitutions for her order. With this being said I guess we will give them what they want and start grabbing our own groceries due to the lack of care/concern that is displayed frequently by those hired to do this job.

  After a great day of grilling the kids wanted a watermelon. We always buy the packaged watermelon but bought a whole one today . Now I’m worried staff is just cutting the good parts off of rotten fruit and packaging. This is horrible. Food lion you have lost my business! Getting the horrible smell out of my house is now what I’m worried most about .

  Not the worst grocery store in town...wait, no it definitely is. The aisles are narrow and crowded, they never have enough registers open, and the parking lot is almost as bad as the demolition derby you'd find at Ingles. The deli is hit or miss, with excellent salads but surprisingly bad fried chicken. How can you even mess that up? Their little hot bar is nice, but sometimes it's completely barren at lunchtime. Maybe they have a hard time finding help? There seem to be plenty of employees wandering around and not really doing anything so I'm baffled. Also, and this no fault of Food Lion, but there are an amazing amount of customers who can't count to 12 and decide to go through the express line with a prepper's supply of groceries. Anyway they're the only store in town that carries my favorite bread but I'm often there for 20-30 minutes just to buy a loaf. Annoying.
