Wedgies Sandwich Shop specializes in hot deli sandwiches on parbaked pizza crust. The meats and cheeses are added to the pizza crust, then it goes through a conveyor pizza oven, where it comes out hot and crispy, cut in half, topped with lettuce, tomato, mayo, etc, and flipped onto itself, forming a sandwich. The sandwiches are cut in the shape of a wedge, hence the name ‘Wedgies’.
Wedgies has been open and operating, in the same location, consecutively since 1999. We are located in Southern Pines, NC, just a short distance from the Village of Pinehurst, which has been named the ‘Home of American Golf’ by the USGA, and has hosted the 1999, 2005, 2014 and 2024 US Open at Pinehurst No.2.
