I was extremely concerned by what I found during my visit today. This was not a case of finding one expired item. I found a large number of products throughout the store with dates that raised serious concerns. The volume of items I encountered suggests a significant breakdown in inventory rotation and shelf monitoring.
Customers trust that the products they purchase are being checked regularly. Finding so many questionable items on the shelves was alarming and unacceptable. This is an issue that requires immediate attention from both store management and corporate leadership.
I will be contacting corporate directly because I believe they need to be aware of the extent of the problem. I hope a thorough review of the store’s inventory and quality-control practices is conducted as soon as possible.

Constantly disappointed in this food lion. Empty produce, messes around the store, now I have to only self checkout because the 3 employees you pay to stand at the front wont help. Where's my employee discount at this point? Sad.

If you're the only person working in a dept, you should be knowledgeable about the department if you're acting as the only point of reference for that department. Also, having worked in the Deli and bakery for Food Lion for many years, the common sense procedure is for the employee to request of the customer to write down their message and ask about a color preference so that they can accurately write it out on the cake. I called beforehand to ensure that someone was there who was able to ride on a cake before driving over, went up to the deli and stood for several minutes while the young lady looked at me and my daughter multiple times without ever actually walking up to address of. Apparently the person was on break having to go to the customer service and call the person up to the deli to write on a cake it was super annoying to have had to go through that just for me to relay the message, specifically saying the name is capital letters and them to not do so and not check what the desired color was that we wanted as a grown man might not want a bright spring yellow message on his birthday cake. The employee never asked about a color or I would have requested a color that was more appropriate for the occasion nor did they double check to ensure accuracy with the capital letters as requested. Just to hand me the cake and then immediately ask someone else about their cake and have that person write down the message so they had the message correct. Super annoying. Professionalism really is too much to ask from some "managers".

Everyone at this Food Lion is so nice and respectful to my elderly friend. The tags and sale signs are well placed the aisles are nice, wide and clear.
