The most unprofessional staff I’ve ever been around. It’s almost like they wanted to pick a fight with someone. Immediately threatening to call the cops when we said they were being rude. Then of course we’re racist although we haven’t said or done anything to our waitress who is of color. We walked in and the hostess has no personality as well as the waitress, like us eating there was an inconvenience to them. We had a party of 14 and we were told we couldn’t split the check more than 3 ways so we had to pay for each others food. After waiting on our food for over an hour and no one checking on us once (they were not busy) we finally asked the manager for refills and she was extremely annoyed that we were asking. We found out the manager is the owner, the waitress is her daughter and her husband is the cook in the back. They were extremely unprofessional and very disappointing considering this was my brother’s birthday dinner. I hope you do not come here and support these peoples business of this is the way they treat their customers

By far the worst experience I've had at a restaurant. Our party was told there would be a 45 minute wait to be seated and ended up getting seated after an hour and a half when one of our party members decided to go check how long it would be, and we were still forced to split between two tables. Once we were seated it took our waitress 15 minutes to get to our table and began taking drink orders. We proceeded to wait 30 minutes for our drinks to be brought out, only for the water to taste like it came straight from a toilet bowl. As we started placing our food order but we were informed that we were not allowed to split our tickets per group and we were only allowed a total of three tickets because it was to hard for the restaurant to accommodate. After waiting an hour for the food and everyone had yet to receive a refill on drinks one of our party members approached the bar where the manager was sitting and proceeded to ask about getting refills for the table. The manager came over and decided to slam three pitchers of the requested drinks onto the table (spilling them everywhere) and lazily walked away without a word or effort to refill our drinks. Once food arrived and we began to eat, some items were never brought to our table and when we decided to ask for the missing items we were met with extreme disrespect by the manager on top of that one of us asked for extra napkins and were told that the "waitress would bring them out" because the manager was to busy chating at the bar to go grab them for us. Once she returned to the bar she began pointing at our table and laughing so one of our party members did the same back to her, the same party member got up to go to the bathroom and the manager yelled from the bar "I won't do this tonight, I'll just call the cops." So our party members decided to walk up to her and confront her about the situation. They proceeded to get into a heated argument and at this point the owner decided to come out of the kitchen and began yelling at our entire table as well. Needless to say we will not be returning to this establishment and will be telling everyone to stay as far away as possible.

I can’t really comment on the food because we were too disgusted to eat.
We showed at around 5:30 and were told there would be a 45 minute wait, which was fine it’s tourist season and so we walk around the downstairs stores. After an hour and fifteen minutes I go up to check on our wait and the host tells me he’ll go clean us a table off and we have a seat in 5 minutes.
Our waitress is sweet but very stand-off ish but I understand she could be having a bad day or a long shift so we ignore it.
After ordering, an hour goes by and we still don’t have our food and haven’t been offered a refill on any drinks so I walk to the bar and tell a heavy set woman who has been delivering checks we have a few drinks that need refilled so a little bit later she come to our table and she slams down 3 pitchers of our drinks knocking my husbands hat off and spilling the water pitcher on the table in the process (we ignore it) and walks away, so while we refill our own drinks she goes back to the bar to mix herself an alcoholic beverage.
When our food comes so much of our order is messed up or missing but we’re not upset just telling the waitress what we need brought out/replaced, and the heavy set manager comes to assist. She is openly upset that we are asking for our order to be corrected and frustrated with us and had a terrible attitude. My dad commented that she has a bad attitude and our waitress (who we are later informed is her daughter) says that she is “matching energy”…..everyone was very polite despite spending nearly 3 hours at this restaurant so far so I’m not sure what “energy” she was trying to match?
Well…we get our food and the same heavy set woman is at the bar talking to the bartender, other waiter, a chef (maybe) all telling a story while pointing at our table and looking over, then my sister in law starts walking to the bathroom (which is in her direction) and immediately she starts yelling that if she “starts with her she’s calling the cops” this is obviously sends my SIL into a rage to ask why she is acting this way, they have words which I cannot hear and the manager comes to our table to yell at all of us that what SIL is doing is uncalled for….. so we of course defend my SIL and say that we are simply eating our food and she starts screaming that we are children and that we are targeting her because her daughter is black…..we haven’t spoken a single bad word about our waitress but I guess when you own the place you get to make the rules.
We ask for boxes to leave as soon as possible and while we are waiting for our checks she is proudly going to every other table to “apologize” and by that I mean to plead her case and act like we are the racist villains in her narrative. We will never return.

We had a very similar experience with a party of 12, and it was incredibly disappointing—especially since we are locals who own a home here and come to the OBX regularly.
We completely understood that they couldn’t accommodate all 12 of us at one table, so we simply asked to be seated at three separate tables. We were more than willing to split up, sit as separate families, and have separate checks. Despite having tables available, they refused to do this and instead expected us to sit at one full table and wait.
What made the situation so much worse was the way the female manager/owner handled it. She was extremely rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. There was no reasonable explanation for why three separate groups couldn’t be seated at available tables while other customers were being seated.
As someone who owns a home in the OBX and regularly supports local businesses, I was shocked by how poorly we were treated. We weren’t asking for special treatment—we were simply trying to find a reasonable solution for our group of 12.
The entire experience was frustrating and unnecessary, and the manager’s attitude was by far the most disappointing part. We will definitely think twice before returning or recommending this restaurant to friends, family, or guests.
Our first experience was pretty okay. Here on vacation. The mozzarella sticks were good. I ordered a Caesar salad and it was absolutely DRENCHED in onion and garlic powder. The chicken in it was extremely dry. My boyfriend got the loaded chicken nachos, and many parts of the meal were just left out or we had to ask for them. (sour cream, cheese, green onion) Our waitress was lovely, but the service was extremely slow. Unfortunately I do not remember her name!
We came back to give it another shot, however it was ten times worse. My sweet tea tasted like water. We were charged twice for fries, even though they were not on our ticket. Apparently, she (Our waitress) immediately knew of the problem however we had to point it out. Our waitress seemed rather disinterested with our table, came with friends this time. She unfortunately was not polite. As a former server of over 5 years, I did expect her to be cordial and polite. A fly flew in my drink, after trying to spot her for 15 minutes, I had to flag her down. I told her what happened and she immediately became accusatory. "What bug?!? I don't see one?!?" I had to advocate for a new cup of tea. Once again, watered down. Not given the lemon asked for, never given straws. Refills took around 15 minutes. I got the steak, green beans and mashed potatoes this time. The green beans were absolutely mush. No seasoning what so ever. My steak and potatoes were delicious luckiky. Perfect medium rare! Whoever is on grill rocks! Unfortunately, my boyfriend was once again missing items with his meal (again, the loaded nachos) and we had to ask for them twice. She seemed more interested in chatting with her colleagues or hanging out at the bar. The view is very nice, however the bathrooms are some of the worst I've seen in the outer banks. The doors get jammed and I can't tell the last time they were clean. Used period products on the floor, toilets clogged, urine smell. Unfortunately, despite how much we love mozzarella sticks (we mainly came back for them.) we really can't justify the price for the experience. We were paying customers, but treated like afterthoughts and inconviences. We won't be returning.
