  Absolutely love this place. We stopped in on our way to the Outer Banks and loved the food so much that we hit it again on the way home. Absolutely worth the little extra detour from Highway 64. Flaky, buttery, tender pastry with ample flavorful filling. We tried the ox tail, jerk shrimp, chicken & cheese, beef & cheese, veggie, and sweet potato patties, and the slaw. The tangy slaw with a little bit of hot spice makes a great accompaniment to the savory patties. I have a very low tolerance for hot spice. The patties we tried were not hot at all, the slaw has some hot spice, but I had no problem eating it. My favorites were the jerk shrimp, veggie, and beef & cheese. The sweet potato is also great, but it's more of a dessert. The patties are a really nice size for a lunch meal and priced very reasonably. The service was also wonderful. The young lady working the counter both days we went was very friendly and helpful. The second time, we called ahead to make sure they would have all the flavors we wanted to try. On our first visit, we arrived a bit later in the day and some of the flavors were already sold out. If you call ahead, they can usually make any flavors they may have sold out of. The storefront is very cute and clean (100.00 health grade). It is take out only, there isn't anywhere to eat inside. We found the patties very easy to eat in the car. With the variety of flavors, there is something for everyone. I hope they're still there next time we go to the Outer Banks.

  Kafe Louverture is absolutely fantastic! We had the jerk shrimp (10/10), chicken and cheese(10/10) and a herring Pattie (9/10 just slightly salty but if you like smoked herring you would rate 10/10). The juices are phenomenal as well. Definitely will be coming back!

  I went to Kafe Louverture last month and best to say that these patties are truly exceptional and soo delicious!! My family had a bit of everything - chicken, beef, herring - all were phenomenal!! It was a taste of home. The place is also very chic and authentic to Haitian culture, and the owner and cashier were very kind and welcoming to us and took their time to help us with suggestions and questions. A must go whenever you stop by Rocky Mount!

  The patties here are phenomenal. We stop here every chance we can. We live in the Northeast and make sure to stop here on our roadtrips because the patties are just thatttttt good! This time around we tried their squash soup and it was also amazing. All of their food is so flavorful and delicious! My favorites are the oxtail and the beef and cheese. My husband loved the herring. My sons loved the cod and chicken and cheese. My eldest loves the sweet potato! Seriously best Hatian patties we have had!
