- RRRichard Reece1 day ago2.010:30 am. The service and the atmosphere were pleasant and welcoming as were the employees. That being said, the biscuits were hard and crunchy. They had the recommended so-called butter on them to help maintain their freshness, but they were still hard and crispy. This is North Carolina, the heart of biscuit making. Not New England or Southwest Texas. If Jack Fulk and Richard Thomas, the founder/co-founder of Bojangles in 1977 Charlotte NC, I believe the biscuits at Bojangles restaurants would still be what they once were. I realize that a lot of it has to do with the patented Bojangles biscuit flour. But I also realize if it were the 1970s or prior then everyone, regardless if they were making biscuits at home or in restaurants, would have that natural understanding about biscuit making. It's really a simple process. If I do ever decide to come back it would be because the employees and the atmosphere they help to create. Not their biscuits.
