I ordered a double hamburger with grilled onions and it had to be toasted. I select toasted on both sides. The bun was burnt. There wasn’t enough grilled onions. My grandsons Burger was also burnt and there wasn’t enough onions on it. The french fries weren’t crispy, but they weren’t mushy. The onion rings were exceptional. I love the fact that we are able to get our drinks by ourselves. My wife had grilled chicken and it was a bit rubbery which was a disappointment. Overall it was acceptable, but not my favorite. I don’t know if I’d go back there though.

I actually enjoy the food here. After my experience I will not be back though. Go into the bathroom and I suppose I should have checked but my pregnant bladder was telling me to go now. No toilet paper, no problem. Called the store didn’t answer twice. Finally picked up the 3rd time, I get it sometimes it’s busy, she sounded frustrated that a customer was calling with her “hello”, I said hey no toilet paper in ladies room can you please bring me some in here I’m stuck. She says “uh yeah I’ll tell someone” after 10 minutes I call my boyfriend and he gets some napkins and sends my child to bring them to me. While I was stuck on the toilet a roach (not a water bug) started running around the floor. Shocked & decided not to order this time. Sorry that they are frustrated but I didn’t do anything personally to her to cause that reaction. Hire better customer service employees, an exterminator that comes more frequently, and maybe a lobby attendant.
Let me start by saying that Abdul is operating at a completely different level, and keeping him at an assistant manager position is an absolute oversight. This man is a legend. His caliber of leadership, work ethic, and operational excellence belongs in the store manager chair immediately. Keeping him at an assistant level is frankly a waste of supreme talent.
Every single time I walk into this location, which is atleast three times a week ….Abdul is setting the gold standard. When the rush hits and the restaurant gets slammed, he does not just manage from the sidelines. He is right there in the trenches working harder than anyone else, driving his crew forward, and keeping every single worker motivated and encouraged. The positive energy and teamwork he fosters during peak chaos is something you almost never see in fast food management.
And the results speak for themselves. Because of his leadership, the service is seamless, the customers are genuinely taken care of, and my food comes out piping hot every single time like clockwork. It honestly feels too good to be true.
Abdul runs this shift like a master craftsman. If upper management has any vision, they will promote him to store manager immediately before another brand realizes what they are missing out on. Give this man his well deserved promotion and his own store!

Unfortunately, this will be a “one and done” for us. Tonight was our first time at a Whataburger, so perhaps another location would be better, but this location failed on all fronts.
We had to ask the woman at the counter to take our order after she looked at us a couple times and didn’t offer to help; she was very unfriendly and looked like she hated her job.
After finishing our order, we went to get drinks and napkins, but both napkin dispensers were empty, so I had to go back to the counter and wait in line again to ask for napkins. (I noticed the napkin dispensers were never refilled during the time we were there.)
After our food was dropped off at our table, we realized one of our burgers was not delivered, so I had to go back to the counter and wait in line again. The unfriendly employee I dealt with upon arrival was the one to hand me a burger, but she offered no apology. (My wife noticed other people having to go up to get orders corrected during the time we were there.)
Lastly, no one in my party liked the food. The fries were too salty, the burger patties were the driest we’ve encountered at a fast food restaurant, the cheese on all sandwiches/burgers was completely unmelted, and all sandwiches were delivered with toppings like tomatoes and lettuce even though we asked not to get those toppings at the time of ordering.
Before arriving at the restaurant, my wife was planning to order the banana pudding shake for dessert, but we headed to Goodberry’s instead since their flavor of the day just happened to be banana pudding. At least dessert at Goodberry’s helped to lift our spirits.
Maybe the Whataburger coming to Falls of Neuse Rd. will be better, but unfortunately, tonight’s experience was so bad that I probably won’t be able to give it a chance.
