  I walked in and couldn't stand the smell. It was like walking into a public restroom. I walked out immediately, so I didn't try the food to be honest.

  Waited in the drive thru. The person activated the speaker because I could hear background movements but no matter what they wouldn't speak up. Don't have a job if you're not going to do it! Waste of time! 05/08/2026 - I submitted the online form as requested. I will update with any resolution

  Nothing humbles you faster than needing a restroom during lunch rush. So there I was—armed with Lysol and determination—walking into a McDonald's in Raleigh. Since my oldest son moved out, I make the drive to Raleigh with him once a month for his appointment. It gives us time together on the road—something you don’t realize you’ll miss until they’re grown and gone. Of course, once we arrive, priorities shift… and mine is always finding a restroom while everyone else is out chasing sales. I landed at McDonald’s around 11:45 AM—right in the middle of lunch rush—with my travel-size Lysol spray and a level of determination that could qualify as a personality trait. First observation: the men’s restroom had an “out of order” sign. Immediate thought? “Well… I hope they’ve got a mop ready if the women’s is locked too.” Thankfully, luck was on my side. The restroom was surprisingly clean—always a pleasant surprise during peak hours. I still gave the handles and surfaces a quick Lysol moment (because hand dryers alone are not enough to earn my full trust 😌). From there, I made my way to the counter. No line. The cashier was so pleasant I genuinely wondered if McDonald’s has started sending employees to Chick-fil-A for training. I grabbed an ice-cold Diet Coke, and just like that—I was in and out in under ten minutes. Clean restroom during lunch ✔️ Friendly service ✔️ Quick, efficient stop ✔️ Ice cold diet coke ✔️ Sometimes it’s not about the food—it’s about the atmosphere
