The bread was incredibly fresh and the pizza was especially delicious. The owner is also so kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. They even have board games you can play while you’re there, which is such a fun touch. Great food, great value, and such a friendly atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

I've been on the hunt for the best pizza in downtown Raleigh for the last year and a half, and this place is it. This family-owned business has been serving the Triangle since 1998, starting in Clayton before expanding to Smoky Hollow just a year ago. The bar walk here is one of the best in downtown Raleigh. My friend and I came in for girls night, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Everything is made with fresh, local ingredients. Their locally sourced coffee makes a perfect Americano, and their beer selection features local craft brews. Their espresso martini, made with real fresh espresso, is hands-down the best in downtown Raleigh. The bartender created the entire cocktail menu herself and brought such a fun, engaging energy, every drink was phenomenal. We sat on the patio with a big screen playing in the background, great weather, and amazing food and drinks. If you're looking for the best pizza and cocktails in downtown Raleigh with a genuine local, family-owned feel, La Cucina is a must visit!
