  I am writing this review to address a completely unacceptable and aggressive incident I experienced about a month and a half ago with an employee named Rod. I am currently recovering from a serious car accident and have been attending near-daily medical appointments. While shopping, a few cans of cat food fell from my cart. Because of my injuries, I am physically unable to bend over and pick them up. Instead of offering to help, Rod made a rude remark about the items on the floor. When I explained that I literally could not bend down to get them, his attitude quickly became abrasive and aggressive. The situation escalated further at the register when he rang up my beer. I did not have my ID on me. Rod began treating the transaction as if he was doing me a massive personal favor by bypassing the ID process. I did not have the patience for the back-and-forth, so I calmly told him to just take the beer off the transaction so I could leave. At that point, Rod became irate and began loudly yelling back and forth at me right in the middle of the grocery store. This was the most unprofessional and hostile behavior I have ever experienced from a grown man while on the clock. Having an employee scream at a customer—especially one clearly dealing with physical limitations from an injury—is completely shameful. Management needs to look into Rod and address his hostile conduct immediately.

  I love this food lion and always come on Sundays to see Heidi. She is so kind and is amazing at her job!
