  Quick in and out-- I asked one of the employees wear something was and she even walked me over to make sure that I found it. Very helpful.

  I alway enjoy shopping at this store. The staff are all nice and helpful. The store manager, Michael Paylor, has provided excellent customer service and has handled issues with ease.

  I wish I wasn’t so stressed at the time and I caught these two ladies names but I am so incredibly grateful for the staff at this Food Lion. Today, around 5:00 PM, I was at self-checkout and completely at my wits' end trying to manage my young kids. They were getting out of hand, so I had them all go to the back of the cart to hold onto the handle. My young daughter is very sensitive and cries when she thinks she’s in trouble, so she started sobbing, yelling, "why you not love me??" with tears streaming down her face. I was so stressed. The staff completely stepped up to help me. An older woman working the area noticed I was struggling and had a younger colleague with black hair come over to ring up my watermelons for me so I didn’t have to lift them out of the cart. At the same time, that younger employee was absolutely amazing with my daughter. She talked her completely out of her tantrum and gently convinced her to hold the cart when she was refusing. She got down on her level and talked so sweetly to her when I was physically unable. Within moments, my daughter was smiling at her with tears still on her face, completely calm, which allowed me to actually finish checking out in peace. As a mom, pushing myself to take multiple small children out in public takes a massive amount of mental energy. Having employees show this level of pure kindness, teamwork, and empathy instead of judgment means more than I can ever express. Food Lion management, please recognize the wonderful ladies working the self-checkout area around 5 PM on Tuesday, May 26th—they both deserve serious praise!

  I so appreciate the customer service manager, Michael! He went out of his way to check to see if they had any of my favorite food lion brand sparkling water in the back room as they were sold out on the sales floor and that was the only reason for my trip! He brought me multiple waters in the flavors I was looking for and made my day! Thanks again, Michael!
