Good God! These are hands down the best wings I have ever had, and I've been eating them for over 30 years, all over the East Coast (including numerous spots in Buffalo, NY), in the Midwest, and all over Asia. They literally come right off the bone with zero effort. I don't know how James and his team do it, but they remove all of the cartilage which means you can pick both the drums and flats up in one hand and get ALL of the meat off the bone in one fell swoop. They were cooked to perfection, just the right amount of crispiness, and the sauce...absolutely amazing!
I have a penchant for very hot sauces and went with "The Bills" sauce (James told me his is a huge Buffalo Bills fan from when he was very young, but I won't hold that against him). The bartender warned me that it is probably a 9 out of 10 on the heat scale and I was sold. This sauce is not for the timid. One of the cooks brought my wings out to me and described the sauce for me. It's a combination of Ghost Peppers, Trinidad Scorpion Peppers, and Carolina Reapers, mixed with two types of vinegar, and their in-house Buffalo Sauce. I have grown my own Reapers, so knew what I was getting into. It totally delivers on the heat and flavor! I ate them pretty quick and at one point I felt water dripping down my cheek and told the bartender I didn't know if it was sweat or tears. I had to go to the bathroom to blow my nose because it started running profusely. Seriously the best sauce I have ever had. I asked if they thought about selling it and the bartender told me they are in talks with a bottling company.
James is a real standup kind of guy. Classically trained in French cuisine and he brought that skill over to amazing bar food. He brought me out his Corn Ribs, and while I'm not a huge fan of corn on the cob (it's a high maintenance food that requires a ton of effort for little gratification), these were absolutely amazing too! I ate every single one of them.
The staff is super friendly and the bartender, whose name I did not get, is very personable and stunning. Great service, great food, great prices...highly recommended! Buy the guys in the back beers...they totally deserve it. I will def be going back and bringing friends. If you're ever in the Raleigh area...this is a must! Unfortunately, I didn't get any pics of the wings, but trust me...amazing!
I took my daughter here once before and we absolutely loved it. The food was great, and she was actually excited to go back and take her friend, which is why I was so disappointed to hear about her experience this time.
While they were there, her friend accidentally spilled a glass of water and they overheard someone say, “They’re already starting,” and talking loudly about them as if they were automatically going to be a problem because they’re young. My daughter said after she heard that’s the comment they made, she offered to clean up the spill herself, and then the attitude toward them seemed to change.
These are genuinely sweet, respectful girls, and it makes me sad how quickly adults can lump teenagers into a category and assume the worst of them before they’ve even done anything wrong. Then we wonder why some kids become defensive or rebellious when they feel like they’re already being judged.
The food really is great, and we had such a positive experience the first time, which is why this was so disappointing to hear. Young people deserve to be treated with the same kindness and respect we expect them to show adults.
Every visit to Da Bubs is a great experience. I recommend it to everyone as a place to get awesome creative food for a more than reasonable price. The food is prepared and made with the with the customer experience top of mind. One bite wings are must see tv. I enjoy the Tiger Bite flavor (Like a Korean-Asian BBQ topped with sesame seeds). The removing of the second bone in the flat and the cartilage from the drums and cooking in tallow makes these next level. The bleu ranch is also a nice touch. The focaccia bread bites topped with everything seasoning are another favorite. Salty and savory, great airiness out of the focaccia, and the thick homemade caesar that comes with it is killer. Finally the Da Marty burger. Great lacing on the beef patties, the caramelized onions with the horseradish-y Marty sauce on a classic Martin’s potato roll and crispy salty crinkle fries. Wow. Still need to try the corn ribs and the pepperoni focaccia pizza. If you made it this far and are in Raleigh, you should go check out Da Bubs.

Ordered a takeout burger (Da Fungus Among Us) at 1pm; came with fries and was a great price. It was ready quickly and pickup was easy. The burger was delicious; a good size with nice crispy edges, and the fries were crispy as well. Vibe inside is fun and cool! Looking forward to trying their pizza in the future.

Wings are delicious but as others have said it's self service so you have to go to the bar to order and get drinks, don't expect anyone to come to your table. Definitely recommend the blueberry BBQ wings, the sauce was great and the unique one bite wings are definitely worth the try.
