I had a terrible experience at Bojangles #63, located at 1013 New Bern Ave., Raleigh, NC 27601, on Sunday, July 5, 2026, around 8:46 PM.
I ordered a Sausage Egg & Cheese Biscuit Combo through the drive-thru. The food was cold, stale, and clearly not fresh. When I politely asked to have it replaced, the young employee who claimed she had just made my food immediately became argumentative and started yelling at me through the drive-thru window, insisting it was fresh instead of listening to my concern.
What made the experience even worse was the manager on duty, Chantel. Rather than trying to resolve the situation professionally, she slid the drive-thru window shut in my face and said she wasn’t going to “argue with both of us.” I calmly explained that I wasn’t arguing with anyone—I am a grown woman who simply wanted the cold, old food I paid for replaced. Instead of addressing the issue, they both chose to be rude, defensive, and disrespectful.
Customer service should never involve employees yelling at customers or managers shutting windows in their faces. If a customer has a legitimate concern about the quality of their food, the appropriate response is to fix the problem—not argue.
I paid for fresh food and expected to be treated with basic respect. Unfortunately, I received neither. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had, and I hope corporate addresses both the food quality and the behavior of the staff at this location.
Sincerely,
ML
