  We have been coming to this restaurant for many years, and although we have noticed a decline in the service, tonight was by far the worst experience we’ve had. When placing my order, I was asked what I wanted on my BLT. When I explained that a BLT traditionally comes with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise (the things that make it a BLT), I was told that it doesn’t come with anything and that each ingredient has to be requested. I had the same conversation when ordering a patty melt. Then came the wait. After 40 minutes, I went to the counter to check on our food, which I could see sitting in the window. I stood there for about five minutes and had to wave my hands in order for someone to acknowledge me. When I explained how long we had been waiting and that our food appeared to be sitting in the window, I was told they were backed up and that she would finish taking orders before addressing our food. When we finally received our order, nothing was hot. After waiting over 40 minutes, receiving lukewarm food was incredibly disappointing, especially considering the amount of the bill.

  Great classic diner. Hadn't been there for several years and decided to swing by since I was in the Charlotte area on business and knew the chance might not be likely again for awhile. Single hamburger, "all-the-way!" I was not disappointed at all, except that I should have ordered a double burger, "all-the-way!"

  I’ve eaten here about a six or seven times in the past year. There’s not much to say other than it’s your quintessential drive-in diner (without the drive-in since being remodeled) that serves delicious, fresh, made-to-order classics. The service is always friendly and professional and the value you get for your dollar outstanding. If it’s your first time, go with the Lotta Burger and homemade onion rings then be prepared to take a nap! Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.
