  Returned some expired soda today (it was expired when I bought it last week, and when the first can I opened tasted funky, I checked the date), and rather than give me my money back, THEY CHARGED ME FOR IT! When I went back to customer service and showed them the error, they gave me my money back. I'm not the type of person who expects handouts, but when you screw up so spectacularly that you charge someone rather than refund them, you owe them some sort of good will gesture. I think I'll be shopping up the road at harris teeter from now on - they sell expired products too, but when you return it, they give you your money back.

  Sale prices are not reflected all the time at the register and you wind up paying full price. I contacted the store and spoke to the Store Manager on the Night Shift, he did not care I was overcharged and when I mentioned their store policy he stated he didn’t know about it and when I asked for his name he hung up the phone on me. I called back and informed another employee I was reporting him to the Store Manager and Corporate.The Store Manager, Mehnazwalli was very nice and apologized for his disrespectful behavior.

  If I could give negative 10 stars, I would. I never go to this Food Lion location unless I am riding with someone else or if I really need something and don't have time to make it to my regular Food Lion and don't have much of a choice but to go. I can tell you it's not by choice. I avoid going to this location at all costs because everything is higher than the Food Lion right down the street. This location is always sky high. I went tonight for the very last time and that's the last store I wanted to go to but I didn't have time to make it to my regular Food Lion, so I didn't have much of a choice but to go because I needed drinks so I forced myself to go before they closed. I despise self checkout. I'm not a Food Lion employee. I'm not getting paid to do THEIR job. I'm not a cashier. I said that to say this, I walked up so a CASHIER could ring me up like they are PAID to do, NO CASHIERS. Granted it was 5 minutes before closing but they are still supposed to do THEIR JOB, not me do theirs. There were a couple employees standing at customer service and self checkout not doing anything but talking to each other. I walk up, they don't really talk to me, she called over to a young guy I'm assuming that was over the front. I told him I just need a cashier to ring my drinks up. I told him I didn't see a cashier. He said we have self checkout right here open for you. I told him I despise self checkout with a passion. He just looked at me and walked off. If I had been at my regular Food Lion, they would've just rung me up at Customer Service and they would have been glad to and more than happy to ring me up. I wish I had got his name but I will not be going back to get it. He was too lazy to do his job just like the other 2 standing around. I will never go to this location ever. I will go thirsty before I buy any drinks from this location again. I didn't like this location to start with but tonight's visit put the icing on the cake. That was my very last trip here. If I go with anyone that stops by this Food Lion, I will just wait in the car. I'm not going in.

  Very nice store! Fresh produce too and service is pretty good.
