  Just left the Mooresville Sonic after a shopping trip with my teenager. I asked Google what fast food places around me have fried pickles, and Google lied to me once again 🤣 but, sonic does have some of the best onion rings that make up for it. They taste just like how the fall fair smells, tastes, and feels. The food was good, we got smash burgers this time (we also love their lemonade, slushies, popcorn chicken, and mozzarella sticks) and onion rings of course. We usually do the drive-in, but we were ready to get home because it's late so we went through the drive thru. There was an older couple sitting at the tables outside who looked a little miffed and impatient. Idk what I missed, but I told my daughter I bet there's only a couple people in there working as I know it's like that for a lot of fast food places. It didn't take long to get our food though, in fact they were faster than McDonald's. And when the guy forgot my smash burger (I didn't have to say anything, he ran out with it before I could ask) he said, "I'm sorry about that, there's only two of us tonight". It was one young lady and a young man. All considering two people taking multiple orders, cooking, bagging, bringing out the food, and dealing with any customer issues, they were busting ass! And polite, and speedy. Seriously, that's rare at most burger places these days. Also we've been many, many times to this location and they always do great. We eat there almost every time we go to barnes & noble. I do miss the roller blades though!

  I absolutely love Sonic, and this is the closest location to me, about 40 minutes from my house so I genuinely try to give this location the benefit of the doubt every. single. time. I come here. Tonight, I stopped by for literally one single item. I sat at the speaker for about 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me, only to be put on hold for another 5 minutes. i then waited for my one single item for another almost 10 minutes. i sat here for almost 30 minutes waiting on ONE ITEM!!! I completely understand that school is back in session and places may be short-staffed or having to cut back on labor, but it wasn’t even busy. There were maybe five cars in the entire parking lot. I hate complaining because I know food service can be stressful, but waiting 10 minutes just to even place an order when the restaurant is practically empty is pretty frustrating especially after driving 40 minutes to come here.

  I would genuinely rather shit in my hands and clap then EVER come here again. I sat and waited for over 30 minutes for a kids meal. I cannot even comprehend what must be going on back there that would make it so hard to package up some food and “Run it out” to the car. it’s called sonic for a reason, and yet somehow it constantly manages to be the complete opposite every damn time. This has been an ongoing issue for years and i honestly don’t understand how they are still in business. I know the workers are young, so i don’t blame them. But management? where are you?

  I waited in drive through line for 20 minutes because they said drive through was the only thing working and then I had to pull around and ask an employee to take my order because they would not respond.
