  We had an incredible dinner at Florence tonight. We started with a flatbread that was packed with flavor, followed by some of the most delicious, perfectly cooked pasta I've had in a long time. To top off an already amazing meal, they surprised us with a complimentary dessert that was the perfect sweet finish. Beyond the food, the service really set this place apart. The staff was incredibly attentive and kept checking on us without being intrusive. On top of that, the manager/owner stopped by and was so personable, genuine, and super nice. You can tell they truly care about their guests' experience. Excellent food, beautiful atmosphere, and top-tier hospitality. We will absolutely be back!

  Be careful if planning an event here. We met with the owner’s wife in May about having our daughter’s rehearsal dinner at Florence in September. Communication was inconsistent at best until the Alinos Manager- Anney - stepped in and was delightful. Tonight was our event and we had a bad experience with the actual owner. He was aggressive and offensive to several of our friends who were there who had come early to serve and help set up. He was unfriendly and literally hollered at me when I asked if we could add another table as we had more guests than seats. The outdoor market lighting did not work as promised which was also the ONLY light on the patio. They did not care. He said 'nothing could be done'. As a result we had to rush through the event so guests weren't sitting in the dark. He was rude, aggressive and offended many of our guests. To be honest we were shocked at his behavior and it was completely unwarranted as we booked the venue for the rehearsal dinner and had worked every detail out with Anney. We did not ask for anything beyond what was agreed upon. We are local residents - have lived in Mooresville for over 20 years. We come to all of these restaurants often: Barcelona, Alenos, Florence, etc.. But his behavior and attitude tonight was so awful - he has lost many loyal customers. This is the fist negative review I’ve ever left. Well deserved in this case.

  Really interesting place. The name is a bit misleading, as there is a fairly large area inside of what I imagine was a mill of some kind. There is plenty of seating. I would call it cafeteria type service in that you order at the counter and your food is delivered to your table, which is a picnic table. We ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs and the Burrata salad. Both were quite good. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. There was good selection of wine open and presented on the counter. We ordered from that selection. I don't know if you can order something by the glass that has not been opened. As impressive as the inside is with its brick walls, very high ceilings and overall capacity spread over two rooms, the outside seating area is very lovely. There are two outside areas, really. One that is looking over a lake with fountains, and a second that feels more like a grotto, and is a bit more intimate. Throughout the property there are what appear to be large backlit, possibly LCD, photographs from Italy, mostly Florence, but some from Rome and other places. These are especially notable in the grotto like area as you are quite close to them. One final note: I noticed that there are stacks of open cabinets filled with wine and a sign that states that all wine is available for $50 per bottle. That's a little steep, however the few bottles I looked at appeared to be quality brands, such as Daou. In sum, I highly recommend a stop here if you're ever in the Mooresville area. If the weather is suitable, sit outside with a glass of wine and Focaccia Bread. Boun appetito!!

  We’ve become regulars at Florence Beer and Wine Garden, and it’s easy to see why. The pastas and salads are consistently excellent, the prices are very reasonable, and the service is outstanding. We especially enjoy the unique atmosphere. Housed in a historic former textile mill power station, the restaurant has preserved much of the building’s character while adding authentic Italian touches throughout. There’s plenty of comfortable indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great place to enjoy a meal in just about any season. The staff is always attentive, friendly, and welcoming. For us, it’s the combination of great food, great service, a wonderful setting, and great prices that keeps us coming back. Best food. Best service. Great prices. We highly recommend Florence Beer and Wine Garden!

  Looking for a place to have dinner and we were craving Italian. Ran across this restaurant that seemed like it was the only thing still open at 5pm on Sunday in these little towns. Upon arrival, we were in Awe of how big this place is. We were a bit confused on where the entrance was but we found it! This seems like a casual fancy place if it makes sense. You can dress up or down and it will still fit the ambiance of this place. Upon entering it is Grand! Plenty of bench and table seating with two bars and counters to order at. Since it was a sunday they did have one room shut off as it was not necessary to have that whole room opened up. They have plenty of outside patio seating over looking a fountain and pond. It was such a beautiful day with great weather and the views were amazing. Plenty of trees, water and plants to look at. You walk up the counter, place your order, pay and sit down with your alloted number. I ordered their Chicken Parmasean which was tasty but honestly nothing too WOW about it. They do have a limited menu which i do appreciate. Nothing makes me loose my appetite than a very extensive overwhelming menu to choose from. Great selection of wine and beer. They have a bakery section as well. Plenty of slices of cake to choose from. Napolitano, carrot cake, lemon, oreo, canolies and small ice cream cups. Great find. All the employees were super friendly and efficient. I loved that they also have a section with plenty of to go containers, utensils, napkins, bags for you to grab on your own without having to wait and flag a server down. Brilliant idea! When im in the area again, I will definitely return.
