Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Had a great experience at my first Whataburger. The food was great can't wait to go back again.

First time visiting. Spent a moment looking over the menu and then got in line. There were two employees already there making an order( or so I assume anyway). They Spent several minutes chatting amongst themselves and the cashier. Gave them benefit of the doubt because I thought maybe they were having payment issues. They just continued chatted and none of them ever acknowledged us. We promptly left and won’t be back.

The service here was so terrible that I’m writing my very first bad review! My family and I walked into an empty restaurant and the cashier didn’t even acknowledge us for about 5 min or more. Then I asked if we should use the kiosk and he said, “well yea or you can wait until I throw out the trash I’m doing both.” We proceeded to use the kiosk without any problem but when it asked for a tent number there weren’t tents then the receipt didn’t print. I walked back to the cashier to ask for a receipt and he along with another employee were counting their till out in the open and were getting corrected by a manger. Of the 3 people behind the registrar, manger included not one acknowledged me. They just walked off with their till a few feet away to continue what they were doing and left me standing there for another few minutes. By this time I was already upset by the lack of customer service. We drove 4 hours to eat here, we are from Texas and wanted a taste of home. And this is not the experience we were expecting. When our food came out 15 min later 2 out of our 4 orders were wrong. When I walked up to the register the girl behind the register rolled her eyes and called her manager and said, we have a mad customer. I said “yes I’m upset because we drove 4 hours for this and it’s wrong.” She just rolled her eyes again and sarcastically apologized. The manager came up and took my receipt and corrected our order 15 min later. Worst customer service we have ever received. Worst! The food was also ok. Overall just a Terrible experience. Luckily we don’t live close enough to go back. Next time we will drive the extra 20 minutes just so we don’t visit this place again.
Whataburger, if you’re expanding make sure that these chains are living up to the Whataburger reputation and customer services we Texans are use to. I told my husband I’d hate for people to come here for the first time and think that THIS is what Whataburger is.
