We stopped by today and are so glad we found this little hidden gem!
The restaurant entrance is tucked away inside the market, which could be easy to miss, but it gave us a chance to browse the store first. The market had a great selection of products and was worth checking out on its own.
When we arrived, we were the only customers dining in, so there was no wait. We ordered 3 al pastor tacos, 2 chicken tacos, a kids quesadilla, and a Coke for around $30.
The al pastor was absolutely delicious. The homemade tortillas were fantastic, and the grilled pearl onions served alongside the tacos were one of our favorite parts of the meal. The quesadilla was also very good, although our picky toddler refused to eat it—that’s definitely a toddler problem, not a food problem!
While my husband wasn’t a huge fan of the chicken tacos, everything else we tried was enjoyable enough that we’ll definitely be back. The food felt authentic, fresh, and made with care.
One thing to note: this is very much a hole-in-the-wall spot. The seating may not be everyone’s favorite, so takeout could be a great option. We also noticed a pretty long line forming while we were there, so ordering online ahead of time might save some time during busier periods.
We’re excited to have found another local restaurant to support and look forward to trying more of the menu next time! 🌮🇲🇽
