  There were produce items I didn’t buy because I was not about to put my food on this scanner to weigh it. Seriously, this is disgusting.

  BOGO offers are a scam. Went to local store in Leland NC Sundrop BOGO sale. Regular price is 2.00 each (paid last week) today the base price was 4.00 BOGO, so the price is 2.00 each. At the very least advertising as BOGO when it works out to the regular price is deceptive. And its not the only example. 1/2 gal (which it really is not) ice cream reg price 3.00. They raised the reg price to 5.99 then put it BOGO which takes it back to the reg price. REAL BOGO should start at the reg price it normally is not double the price then BOGO takes it to the regular price. I guarantee that next week when this "sale" is over those items will be back down to the reg price because no one will pay 5.99 for a 1/2 gal of ice cream - which by the way they kept the length so it looks normal on the shelf and reduced the width so it is not 1/2 gal anymore but they try to make people think it is. Groceries are expensive enough without them playing games and deceiving people. The BOGO is a ploy to get people the buy 2 items at the reg price when they probably would have gotten 1 or none because it looks like a deal and impulse buy.
