  We had this place on our list of must try restaurants and finally got a chance to go. The food is fantastic, however rated as 4 stars because honestly ive had better. For the experience was a 5. There was a line waiting for them to open, on a Wednesday. The best day as they offer 12 different crab legs. Line was long but moved fast. Tight sitting spaces made me rank atmosphere a 4. I kept getting bumped into while sitting. The cost on Wednesdays is a bit high but the offerings are plentiful. Go hungry! Crab legs of all types were great but not excellent, sword fish was amazing. Grouper was too. Several different style shrimp options but all kind of generic and nothing you cant get at a much cheaper place. All in all, 4 stars. It was worth trying once. Too far of a drive for us compared to local seafood to say we will be back with any certainty.

  Went on Wild Wednesday. 10 types of crab legs, lobster claws and tails, plus about any other seafood you can imagine. Best key lime pie I've ever had. My new favorite restaurant. I'll have to make the trip back from Oklahoma soon.

  I am in awe. Birthday dinner was spectacular. Food was amazing and fresh. As a member of the culinary field myself, (I am super judgy on all things food) I was so pleasantly surprised with Jimmy's!!! About every type of seafood you can imagine on the buffet Lobster Mac was great. Just go!! Victoria (sorry if that's wrong) was so attentive and friendly too.

  We are pretty local to the Outer Banks and decided to try Jimmy’s Seafood Buffet while spending a family weekend at the beach — and we are SO glad we did! 🦀🦞🌊 We had been needing to get our fill of crab and all the other yummy things under the sea, and Jimmy’s 100% delivered. We went on lobster night, and my husband and I each had two lobsters along with so many other delicious options. Everything exceeded our expectations and was absolutely worth the cost. When I go to a seafood buffet, I usually try not to fill up on carbs because I want to save all the room for seafood 😂 — but those mashed potatoes just looked too good. They were literally the last thing I ate, and I am very glad I decided to say yes to them! There was so much love put into the food, and the whole atmosphere had such a great, comfortable vibe. You can come as you are, wear whatever you want, relax, and just enjoy really good food. And a big shout-out to our server, Nick! He was super friendly and helped make our first experience at Jimmy’s such a wonderful one. 💜 We will absolutely be back. Jimmy’s exceeded our expectations from beginning to end! 🦀🦞🐟

  We were a party of five, one of whom was a 3-year-old. The crab legs were decent, but unfortunately, that was about the extent of it. Both varieties of the stone crab was overcooked, dry, and completely tasteless. The soft-shell crab was extremely greasy and tasted like it had been cooked in old oil. The fried oysters had the same stale-oil taste, and the hushpuppies were dry and, again, tasted like old oil. The mussels were chewy and disappointing. Honestly, the salad was the best part of the meal. The inside seating was also extremely cramped. Even with only five of us, including a 3-year-old, two people at our table repeatedly had to get up so other patrons or staff could squeeze by. It made the entire meal uncomfortable. What really surprised us, though, was being told that our 3-year-old would be charged almost full price if she ate any crab. Again, she is THREE. Expecting a toddler to pay nearly the same price as an adult simply for eating a little crab is ridiculous. Between the food quality, overcrowded seating, and the pricing policy for a 3-year-old, this was a very disappointing experience.
