Stephanie at the bar was amazing all of her recommendations for spot on especially the blackened grouper love the seafood Trio platter.
Oysters were perfect. Still as good as it was decades ago. Upstairs lounge was perfect to wait in and grab a drink while waiting for our table.
Must stop in when visiting the beach.

Husband and I went for our anniversary dinner. Busy, but that did not bother us. We sat at the bar and had nice conversation with other patrons. John and Brandon were hustling with shucking oysters, steaming them and shrimp, but were still very accommodating and friendly. I mentioned to a patron we were chatting with how I have a seafood allergy but know what I could eat at Awful Arthur's so no big deal as my husband loves seafood and oysters. When I let John know we were ready to order, he double checked to make sure it was Alfredo and not clam sauce as one of the specials was chicken pasta with Cajun Alfredo (absolutely amazing, btw)-all because he heard me mention my allergy. The entire staff is amazing from past visits, but we had John and Brandon this time and they were absolutely on point. Thank you all for the amazing experience. We will see yall next August!!

Great spot oozing with character. Best oysters on the Island. Clam chowder was on point, thick but not pastey. I had the Flounder special and it was fried to perfection. I also tried the Amazing Arthur ... The waitress called it 'night night juice' and she wasn't lying. One was plenty for a lunchtime cocktail 🙃

What a spot! Horrific wait times if you visit during rush hour, but omg are they worth it. If you get a 1hour+ wait time just put your name on the list go drive around and wait for a call, it is worth it.
The ambience and energy is great, reminds me of old americana. Fantastic spot, never change!
The raw oysters were the highlight i got 24 just for me! Sweat, fresh, incredible.
I really can't put you off anything specific, everything is incredible. Go go go and try it out. The creme-brule is a must have!

I've been to this restaurant a few times now and every time has been delicious!! Staff are very friendly and the food is always made fast! The atmosphere is also friendly and decked with beach decor. I didn't get a picture of my food but I got a crab cake and it was really good! We also checked out their beach shop and it was also really cool! It's very unique and not like the other beach shops in OBX! :)
