  This smokehouse is an absolutely fantastic BBQ spot. They often close early because they've run out of food, that's a true sign of amazing quality. The service is excellent.

  The guys working the counter were very helpful and friendly. There are lots of great options here. Turkey was moist. Sausage had a nice bite from jalapeno and snap from casing. Brisket was very good. Id say 8.5-9 put of 10 for me. Cool looking place. Open seating. Decent pricing not great but meat is expensive. If on a budget get the turkey. If craving a meaty flavor get the brisket. I'll try the pork next time.

  After driving many miles and arriving at around 4:20 PM on a Saturday, I discover they are out of Pork. Wow! Great cook but asinine manager? I won't waste my time going to a place that doesn't appropriately plan. I wasn't the only one that was disappointed by their "let 'em eat beef" attitude.

  Stephanie provided outstanding service! She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was absolutely amazing. The brisket was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, and the Gouda mac and cheese was hands down one of the best I've ever had. Everything exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend asking for Stephanie if you visit Black Powder

  This is a hidden gem in Jamestown NC! I have never been here before...UNTIL Saturday! The food was exceptional. I got a qtr pd brisket, qtr pd turkey breast, smoked gouda Mac&CHeez, and Brisket fried rice(AMAZING). 10 out of 10 on everything! My daughter got wings which are only served on Saturdays. She got the hot honey mustard. I am not a honey mustard fan...BUT let me tell you Delish! They did that! She also got baked beans-they have their own special version not ur typical beans but GOOD! If I could change one thing I would have liked you brisket chopped or cut in thinner slices. They can absolutely remove the Barbecue potato salad. I was not a fan, never had it before. Other party got that as well as Ribs, pork, chicken...I can say we probably tried everything besides potatoes and dessert! Find ur way here you will not be disappointed ✨️
