  Sonic Drive-In is a convenient place to grab a quick meal, and they have a good variety of burgers, chicken, hot dogs, sides, drinks, and desserts. Their menu has plenty of options, and the drinks and shakes are definitely some of the highlights. The food is generally good, especially when it’s fresh and served hot. The drive-in concept is also convenient and gives Sonic a unique experience compared with other fast-food restaurants. The staff is usually friendly and helpful, although service speed and order accuracy can vary depending on how busy the location is. The prices are reasonable when taking advantage of their specials and deals. Overall, Sonic Drive-In is a solid fast-food option with a fun atmosphere, good food, and plenty of choices. A little more consistency with service and order accuracy would make it an easy five-star experience.

  I had a very disappointing experience at this Sonic location tonight. I ordered a large cranberry limeade with no ice and used a coupon for a large drink for $0.99. After placing my order, I was told my total was $2.14. Two days earlier, I had used the exact same coupon at the Sonic on Freedom Way and only paid $1.06, so I asked the carhop why the price was different. When I looked at my receipt, I saw that they had only taken $0.99 off the regular price instead of charging $0.99 for the drink. The carhop took my receipt inside to speak with the manager. While I was waiting, I noticed my drink had ice in it, even though I specifically ordered it with no ice. I pressed the button and asked if they could remake it, and I even offered to give back the original drink. The manager came out and told me she had decided to comp the drink, which I appreciated. I explained that I wasn’t trying to get a free drink—I was completely willing to pay. I just wanted to be charged the correct price and receive the order I actually placed. Unfortunately, when they brought out the replacement drink, it wasn’t even the right drink. It wasn’t even red like a cranberry limeade should be. At that point, I decided not to keep bothering the staff and just left. Between being charged incorrectly, receiving my drink with ice when I asked for no ice, and then getting the wrong replacement drink, this was a frustrating experience from start to finish. I won’t be returning to this location.

  Challenge accepted: I ordered a variety of items to be able to review service across the board. Today I ordered chicken tenders/sonic cheeseburger/tots/ and the strawberry cream slush. The burgers bun was soft, cheese melted, crisp veggies, and hot fresh meat. I'm not sure what sauce is used but it's delicious. Tenders were perfect as before, hot,crispy and juicy paired nicely with their groovy sauce. The tater tots were out of this world good, I'm going to save one and worship it later 😆😆😆 finally the strawberry cream slush was delicious. Reminded me of a strawberry snow cream we used to make up North when it snowed but cleaner 🤣🤣🤣 I forgot to order my dipping sauce online and the service was very professional and welcoming to assist me. Your team knocked it out of the park today! Thank you for the awesome meal Sonic 😎

  Jacksonville NC The core menu is classic drive‑in fast food burgers, hot dogs, fries, tots, onion rings, and a huge variety of slushes and shakes. Drinks and ice are a big highlight “fun beverages” and I even give five stars just for the ice and drink deals like half‑price drinks. Food quality is inconsistent I enjoyed a fresh-tasting burger and top‑notch fries.
