  Consistently moldy produce, terrible selection of meat, deli is limited, and food variety is pretty monotone.

  I have to say, some of the staff here are genuinely friendly, especially the younger employees who seem to try their best and treat customers with respect. Unfortunately, that positive experience is overshadowed by repeated issues with certain older associates and the overall store environment. I’ve been visiting this location for a while, and while there’s honestly a long list of things that could be mentioned, this is probably the biggest glaring issue the store is facing. There are two employees in particular, one with blonde hair, who consistently come across as disrespectful, not just to customers but to other staff as well. On multiple visits, I’ve overheard them speaking negatively about coworkers in a very unprofessional way. That kind of behavior shouldn’t be happening on the sales floor, especially where customers can hear it. What really crossed the line for me was witnessing a younger employee, who couldn’t have been older than 16, being yelled at harshly in front of customers by the blonde associate. No one deserves to be spoken to like that, especially not publicly. It was uncomfortable to watch and made the store feel hostile. From what I’ve seen, and based on similar complaints about management and workplace culture in other Food Lion locations, issues like favoritism, gossip, and poor leadership seem to be recurring problems when management isn’t held accountable. At this particular store, however, these issues are far more noticeable than at most other locations. This store has potential, and there are clearly good employees here, but the behavior of certain staff members and lack of professionalism need to be addressed immediately. Customers shouldn’t have to witness workplace conflict, and employees, especially younger ones, deserve to be treated with respect.
