I don’t really get the hype about this place. The service was very slow—they made just one burger first, and the rest of our order took a long time to come out. The burgers were okay, but nothing special. Their signature fries, which are made with rosemary, were overly greasy and had way too much oil. Overall, it wasn’t worth the wait.

Came in around 2:30pm on a Monday. Quick to place an order, little slow to receive food, but it was super fresh and you could taste it.
Smashed patties weren't particularly crisp around edges, but that's a minor observation. To be fair this was my first time at a Smashburger in probably 10 years. Maybe the crispy got lost in the bacon and cheese?
With signature burgers at fast food drive throughs being about the same price, this is a no brainer value for fresh delicious burger if you have a few minutes to wait.

Hands down the BEST smash burger. So fresh and the scorching fries were so crispy and hot and the rosemary tots were out of this world. But the Mexicali Dog was the most amazing ‘Dog’ ever. Brian was wonderful and so helpful when ordering. They craft everything intentionally and the quality is extraordinary. For to go orders they actually put your order in a warmer too. Will be back for sure.

Got Smashburger from this location for the first time, and I have to say I was pretty disappointed. I’ve had Smashburger before and loved it, but this experience just wasn’t the same.
We ordered two burgers, the Bacon Burger and the BBQ Bacon Burger, along with Cheese Fries and Scorchin’ Hot Fries. The BBQ Bacon Burger came without the BBQ sauce or crispy onions, which was the whole reason we ordered it. The regular Bacon Burger was also missing toppings, so both burgers ended up being nothing more than bacon and cheese, which was very disappointing.
The cheese fries actually tasted decent, although the presentation wasn’t great. The scorchin’ hot fries, however, were extremely greasy, and the grease mixed with the hot sauce leaked completely through the bottom of the bag. It got all over everything and made a huge mess before we even got home.
Maybe things would have been different if we had eaten in, but since we got takeout, driving all the way back to Huntersville wasn’t worth it. If you decide to eat here, I’d definitely recommend dining in rather than getting takeout.
What really surprised me was the price. Two single burgers and regular fries came out to almost $30, and we didn’t even get drinks. For that kind of money, I’d rather just go to Five Guys. I consider Smashburger to be in the same category, but Five Guys has consistently better food and feels like a much better value for what you pay. Overall, this location just didn’t live up to the quality I’ve had from Smashburger in the past.
