The food is great, especially the fries, which I had only been able to find in the frozen sections of local grocery stores before visiting an actual Checker’s. And this is one of the only locations I can think of in NC.
However, I think I will stick with air frying them at home because the employees are not very nice people. I have only interacted with one who did not treat me as if I slaughtered their pet or something.
Of course, I don’t think they like me much, anyway. I deliver fuel to the Lowe’s Foods gas station next door and these folks like to park close to where I drop the product.
But, I think it’s settled. Air fry these same fries at home, and don’t do those people any favors if they want to leave while gas is being delivered next door. Lol

It is literally hit or missed. When you are there for the service, you will get.
One time you go there, it is really good. The next time you go there, it's like you're bothering them to place an order.
As they have reached out to me to figure out what the problem could be done. The link they have provided is dead. And their website will not allow me to click on the contact information to apprise them of this
I decided to try Checkers in Hickory by ordering through the app on a rainy day. I thought ordering ahead would make pickup quick and easy.
When I arrived, the employee on the speaker told me I had to either go to the other pickup lane or get out and pick up my order at the window. It was pouring rain, and there were already cars in front of me and behind me, so I couldn’t just back out or switch lanes. The parking lot was also completely full, and anyone who has been to this location knows it’s a very small lot.
After I finally made it to the drive-thru window, I politely asked if they could just hand me my order there instead of making me go to the passenger-side pickup window. It would have taken just a few seconds to hand me the bags through the window I was already at, and it would have kept me from having to get out in the rain. The employee refused and said it was “store policy.”
Since I couldn’t safely get to the other pickup window, I asked to cancel my order. The restaurant refused and told me I had to contact customer support. Customer support also said they couldn’t cancel it and told me to contact my bank instead.
So in the end, I had no food, was charged for my order, and was left to deal with getting my money back myself. I understand businesses have policies, but a little common sense and customer service go a long way. Given the weather and the situation, making a simple exception would have taken almost no effort. Unfortunately, this was a very frustrating experience, and I won’t be returning.

It wasn't as good as it was last time I was their! It was way to expensive! I should've gotten the two sandwiches for $5.50. I got one combo for $11.00 and we use a coupon for the other combo $7.50 which was a small drink and fries for both and that's a lot for $20 not worth it I like their fries and I was going to get me a chocolate and vanilla swirl but they only had vanilla so it definitely wasn't worth it from now on if I'm going to eat fast food we will eat at Burger King!

I feel like I always forget this place but as fast food burgers and fries go, this is really good.
