  Jenny in the deli department is the most rudest person I ever met in my life!She will ignore you and you have to literally walk up on her to get her to respond to you ! I thought maybe she was having a bad day but it’s every time I come there I let her know the bread was molded she tells me to put it on the counter instead of taking it I ask for more and she was very short with me and said no the package it the day before !

  I used to feel uncomfortable going to these stores because I felt watched all of the time and Ive experienced a not so friendly look once or twice! However, I've spoken to a few folks who work here, and a manager, and I'm more comfortable shopping here. They have really good quality fruits and baked goods, and the prices are not ridiculous! Now this location and the chocowinity location are my favorite stores.

  I had a little hiccup (caused by myself, admittedly) with a shopping experience earlier today. After work, I came back to see if anything could be done about it. The young woman, Kayla, did her very best and went out of her way to provide BEYOND satisfactory customer service when it was overall a minor issue that I, once again, caused myself. I was blown away with her friendliness, compassion, and willingness to go the extra mile to see what she could do to fix the minor issue I had. Even after telling her she doesn’t have to go out of her way to help on something I was mainly just curious about, she did all within her power to help. This speaks so highly of her character, and the caliber of employees my favorite food lion in the area employs. It also reinforces my decision to drive a little bit out of my way to make this my REGULAR food lion! Shouts out to Kayla. If everyone was like her, the world would be a better place!

  Talk about wow! I ordered a full sized sheet cakes, half vanilla- half chocolate for a Birthday party. They absolutely nailed the design and color despite being a whipped Frosting cake! Tasted amazing, the total hit of the party!
