  Carlos the manager was part of me and my wife great experience. We randomly came upon this gem by searching for food in the area we was on our way to buy a car. Greatly to say thank Jesus Christ because we did stumble upon this place “BEST CHICKEN IN NC” and I’m black. I can’t wait to go back! I rate this place a 10

  ⭐ 1/5 — Extremely Disappointed On September 8 at approximately 1:00 PM, I placed an order for $42 and some change directly through the Hangry Joe’s website for location NC 302. The website accepted my order and charged my card with absolutely no indication that the location was closed. When I arrived to pick up my food, I discovered the restaurant was closed due to a plumbing issue, according to the notice posted on the door. The location is now showing as temporarily closed on both Google and Apple Maps. Obviously, plumbing problems happen and sometimes businesses have to close unexpectedly. My issue is that online ordering was still active, my payment was accepted, and there has been virtually no way to get help or a refund. I have attempted to contact the store by phone, but no one answers. I reached out to corporate and received no response other than being directed to text a number. I also used the chat/text option on the Hangry Joe’s website, only to be told there was nothing they could do and that I needed to email the store. I was provided multiple email addresses for NC 302 and emailed them as instructed. I still have not received a response or a refund. At this point, I have had to dispute the charge with my card company and provide documentation showing that I paid for an order I never received. I am sincerely disappointed. I understand that an unexpected plumbing problem can force a restaurant to close, but online ordering should have been disabled immediately, and there should be a reasonable way for customers who were charged during the closure to receive their money back. A customer should not have to call, text, chat, email multiple addresses, and ultimately file a chargeback just to recover $42+ for food that was never provided. The lack of communication and customer service has been far more frustrating than the restaurant being closed in the first place.

  I’ve been thinking about some loaded fries for a week now. And I want it even more because I can’t just walk in and place an order. Any idea when you should be opening back up?

  This place is fantastic! Way better than another hot chicken joint, which tastes like it came from frozen and they added hot powder. The sandwich is by far better and amazing! The sandwich is a seasoned breaded chicken breast over apple cider slaw and homemade style pickles. Do yourself a favor and try this out you won’t be disappointed. Owner and team are so nice!

  Came in just to look, but the manager was so kind so we just had to order. the food was amazing. i got the friday special (loaded fries with a drink) for only $9.99. will definitely be coming back. who’s dave???
