By far the worst chipotle I've ever experienced. Service, bad. Rice, hard. Cursing in the kitchen. Assembly line, slow. I have eaten chipotle over 2,000+ times in my life across multiple states. By far, the worst chipotle I've ever seen. New management is need immediately. New employees are needed immediately.

I’m in agreement with all the other reviews concerning the cleanliness of this restaurant. This place is disgusting. He put our salads on a dirty tray with corn all over it. Didn't attempt to clean it off. I had to wipe the chairs and tables down. Ugghhh .The food was good but they were out of salad dressing. Shocker…it’s happened 3 other times at other locations. When I ate at my first Chipotle in Denver years and years ago it was amazing. Chipotle get your act together…gets some training on cleaning. No wonder you have so many health violations.

I honestly didn’t know what to expect coming to this Chipotle on Battleground given the low ratings—but now I understand them.
This used to be one of my favorite places, and it’s disappointing to see how much the service has declined. The overall attitude felt cold and unwelcoming, almost like you’re asking for a favor instead of ordering food. And no, this wasn’t during a rush or late hours, so that’s not an excuse.
I came in trying to order one of their lighter, high-protein options, but the portioning made no sense. I received very little chicken (the main protein), while the server tried to load up my bowl with ingredients I didn’t ask for, like extra corn and beans. That defeats the whole purpose of ordering intentionally.
I was actually considering using Chipotle for meal prep ideas I’ve seen online, but after this experience, I’d rather just cook at home—better portions, better value, and honestly, more confidence in what I’m eating.
Management should really pay attention. This place had a strong reputation, and it would be a shame to see it continue going downhill because customer experience is being ignored.

This was one of the most concerning restaurant experiences I’ve had, particularly because of how a FOOD SAFETY issue was handled On 8/6/26 @ 6:30PM. While my food was being prepared, I watched an employee wearing a hat but with extremely long braids that extended well past her waist lean across another employee to reach for a bowl. Her braids were hanging freely and fell DIRECTLY INTO THE WHITE RICE on the serving line.
I immediately told the employee preparing my food what had happened and said I did not want rice from that container. She went to the back and got fresh rice for my order.
BUT THEY NEVER REMOVED THE CONTAMINATED RICE.
I stood there and watched approximately FOUR OR FIVE CUSTOMERS behind me get served from that same container after employees had already been told that someone’s hair had fallen into it.
Accidents can happen. The unacceptable part is knowing that exposed food has been contaminated and continuing to serve it to customers.
North Carolina food-safety rules require employees working with exposed food to use an EFFECTIVE hair restraint to prevent hair from contacting food. Wearing a hat does not accomplish that when extremely long braids are hanging freely over a food preparation and serving area.
What made the situation worse was the response when I tried to address it. The employee involved became argumentative, even though she apparently had not realized her hair had gone into the rice until I pointed it out. When I asked for the MANAGER’S name, she apparently thought I was asking for her name and refused to give it to me.
When I was finally able to speak with management, I felt completely dismissed. I explained what had happened and essentially received a “yes, yes, yes, okay” response. There was no urgency about the fact that contaminated food had been served to other customers.
After this experience, I looked through reviews for this location and was even more disturbed to see numerous complaints involving cleanliness, food quality, poor service and management issues. I also came across another recent complaint involving long black HAIR IN FOOD.
This does not feel like one employee making one mistake. It appears to be a location that desperately needs stronger management oversight, employee training, sanitation enforcement and food-safety accountability.
I hope Chipotle’s district or field leadership actually reads these reviews and takes a serious look at what is happening at this Battleground Avenue location. Customers should NEVER have to watch food they just reported as contaminated continue to be served to other people.
Absolutely unacceptable.

I had a very disappointing experience at this Chipotle location. While my mother and I were ordering, an employee with long braids leaned her entire upper body across the food line. As she did, her braids fell directly onto the rice. We politely pointed this out because it was a food safety concern.
Instead of acknowledging the issue or apologizing, the employee became defensive and visibly upset that it had been mentioned. My mother asked to speak with a manager, but the situation only escalated. The employee became combative and even stated that her name could not be given out “for legal reasons,” which made the interaction even more bizarre and unprofessional.
The entire experience was disturbing. Customers should be able to raise legitimate food safety concerns without being met with hostility. I hope management addresses both proper food handling procedures and customer service so this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
