This post is in no way to bash this restaurant. Just letting you know my experience. We came here after a graduation. The private area was reserved in advance for 7pm. We didn't get seated until after 7:30pm. It was appox 35 of us and 1 server was provided. The staff was nice but the options for food were limited. I ordered the baked chicken and was told they were out (which was fine) then I ordered the salmon and after 20 mins I was told they were out. So I then ordered the ribs. When they started to bring the food out they didn't know who had what so they were just calling out an item and you raised your hand and that's how you got your food. At one point I heard salmon (but I thought they were out 🤷🏾♀️) At the end when they were getting everyone's receipt they had to go back and adjust item's to put on the correct person's bill. We were all charged a 20% gratuity when the signage stated 18% for parties 8 or more. Granted I still would have tipped more then the 18% but they ran our cards without an explanation of the increase. I just happened to see her click 20% otherwise I wouldn't have known. Like I said this is not to bash this business but I do like to provide my actual experience.

Went to lunch at A'leurer after my husband saw it on Facebook. The restaurant looked decent inside, and our waitress Bria was very pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The floors were greasy and slippery, both honey butter biscuits were raw in the middle, and despite there only being two tables, we waited an hour for our food. The sides were not good, my husband said the fish tasted strange, and my baked chicken was completely raw inside. Bria handled the situation well and told us we didn’t have to pay, which we appreciated since we literally just tasted some of the food. Overall, very disappointed, especially with the food quality, long wait time, and the employee who we think was the cook coming from the kitchen talking on his speaker phone.
Great First Impression & Excellent Customer Service!
My boyfriend and I tried A’leurer LLC for the first time today, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. We decided to place an online to-go order, and the staff was very proactive, they called us shortly after to let us know they were out of turkey wings. Although my boyfriend was looking forward to eating the wings, he went with the oxtails instead.
What really impressed us was the customer service, they offered to substitute the turkey wings for **oxtails at no extra charge**. That kind of hospitality is hard to find!
As for the food:
The Oxtails:My boyfriend thought the flavor was really good. The only downside was that they were a bit too fatty, but the taste was definitely there.
*Food Quality: Everything else was great. The portions were generous, and the quality of the sides was top-notch.
We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. If you’re looking for a spot that treats its customers right and serves up solid comfort food, give them a try!

I’ve been to this restaurant before and had a great experience. The biscuits were a little dry, but other than that, I was satisfied. I came back to support this business with my boyfriend. We came and ordered our food to go. We were originally quoted that it would be 15 minutes. The establishment was slightly busy so I expected a little while longer. After 35 MINUTES of waiting, I was informed that the kitchen was out of beef ribs. I didn’t have a taste for anything else so my boyfriend who ordered fried chicken canceled the entire order since I was unable to get what I originally wanted. The manager immediately was upset, evidenced by the look on her face. She didn’t apologize, She did not try to make anything right, She did not thank us for coming. she simply looked at us and gave the refund, which I think was entirely unprofessional. I just assumed she was having a bad day or it was a bad day for the restaurant. Looking at some of the other reviews, I see this is actually a trend. NOT having what’s on the menu, as well as people waiting for an extended amount of time and then being told they are out of something. I’ve also noticed there have been a few reviews regarding the manager’s distasteful disgruntled attitude. On the company website it reads “ From the moment you walk in, you are welcomed like family and treated with genuine hospitality.” THIS IS FURTHEST FROM HOW WE WERE TREATED !!!

I was really looking forward to this dining experience, especially since I was visiting from out of town and reconnecting with college friends I hadn’t seen in years. We intentionally chose this restaurant excited to enjoy a great meal and jazz band at what we believed would be a welcoming, Soulfood food spot. Unfortunately, the experience failed far short of expectations. We were told over the phone that reservations weren’t accepted, but to arrive early, we did just that. only to be seated in an area completely separate from the main dining space. Meanwhile, there was clearly available seating inside the restaurant. When we politely asked if we could be moved we were given multiple inconsistent, explanations by different staff and managers, none of which made sense. At no point did anyone genuinely try to accommodate us or show concern for our experience as paying customer. There were five of us, and it felt like we were dismissed without a second thought .To make matters worse. The area we were placed in, didn’t even resemble a proper dining space. It felt more like a storage or overflow room. There was no decor or ambience and nothing that reflected the warmth or culture you would expect from a Soulfood restaurant. Overall, we felt overlooked, unheard and poorly managed. This was supposed to be a special reunion moment and instead, it became a disappointing experience I won’t be returning, and unfortunately, I cannot and would not recommend this establishment to . Hospitality goes a long way for me. A total thumbs down for me.
