I had a very disappointing experience at this Taco Bell. I placed an order of about $50 and waited in the lobby for approximately 45 minutes. The lobby itself was dirty, and during my wait I watched multiple customers who ordered after me receive their food before I did.
When I finally went to the counter to politely ask if my order was being made, an off-the-clock employee loudly called out to another employee, saying, “She wants to know if someone is making her food,” in a way that felt mocking and unprofessional. The employee who came out then immediately gave me an attitude, saying, “You got modifications, so yeah, it’s going to be a while,” while giving me dirty looks and bobbing her head as if I had done something wrong simply for asking a reasonable question after waiting 45 minutes.
When I received my food, it wasn’t even enjoyable. The potatoes were so hard they almost cracked my tooth. My burrito wasn’t even rolled like a burrito—it was folded flat like a piece of paper being put into an envelope. For the amount of time I waited, I expected the food to at least be made correctly.
I also asked if they had a specific soda available. Instead of checking or answering courteously, the employee simply said, “If it’s not out there, then nope,” and walked away, completely dismissing me.
I completely understand that customized orders can take extra time, and I would have had no issue waiting if someone had simply communicated that to me. Instead, I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing the staff for asking a reasonable question after waiting 45 minutes. Between the poor customer service, the lack of professionalism, the dirty lobby, and the poor quality of the food, this was one of the worst fast-food experiences I’ve had. I hope management addresses both the customer service and food quality issues so future customers don’t have the same experience. I will never be back.
