  This food line is definitely going downhill. I’m usually not the one to do low ratings on places because I know that place is struggle and they change and they can go up or down but the last three times I’ve been to this Food Lion. The line is extremely long and there’s all these people standing around self check out doing nothing except for talking to each other or to the other highschoolers that they are just graduating with or something. I don’t know I know that I heard the lady say that she’s 20 and I know that usually young people still work hard but this lady definitely didn’t care at all about anything other than gossip or talking to her friends. They never take cash at self checkout anymore, which is why the line is so long at the regular checkout, but they only have one person over there checking out people on a Sunday afternoon. It makes no sense to me and it’s very frustrating.

  8/22/2026 10:00 am Pick up--I was very disappointed with my recent Shop & Go grocery order from Food Lion on Hudson. The person who selected my groceries did a horrible job choosing fresh items. I received brown spinach and several items that were very close to their expiration dates. When someone uses grocery pickup, they are trusting the shopper to select items they would personally consider fresh and acceptable. Customers should not receive produce that is already turning brown or products that are about to expire. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I hope management addresses the importance of checking freshness, quality, and expiration dates before completing customer orders.
